Speak to Ashe Boderra in Enchanted Lands to start this quest.

Ashe Boderra sends you to Maj'Dul to talk to Taria Truomen ( -161, 176, -102 ) . Taria tells you how to restore the power of the saber.
Defeat Pawbuster in The Execution Throne Room to obtain A Diamond Grit Whetstone.

Examine the Whetstone.

Defeat Mayong Mistmoore in Mistmoore's Inner Sanctum to obtain Vedel's Song of Awakening.

Examine Vedel's Song.

Defeat Xygoz the dragon in Veeshan's Peak to obtain a Golden Refrain.

Examine the Refrain.

Return to Taria Truomen in for Maj'Dul your mythical reward!

I have obtained the Lamentation of the Intrepid, but it is not as powerful as it once was. It seems to have lost its planar energies, and I should quest to restore this power to it so that it achieves its maximum potential.

Stage 1

I need to return to Ashe Boderra for advice regarding how to restore the saber to its full power.

Start:	I need to return to Ashe Boderra with the depowered Lamentation of the Intrepid.
Complete:	I have returned to Ashe and have been advised to see Taria Truomen.

Start:	I need to speak with Taria Truomen about Bristlebane and the saber.
Complete:	I have spoken with Taria Truomen about Bristlebane and the saber.

I have spoken with Ashe and Taria about restoring the power of the saber.

Stage 2

I need to defeat Pawbuster to obtain the Diamond Grit Whetstone.

Start:	I need to defeat Pawbuster.
Complete:	I have defeated Pawbuster.

I have defeated Pawbuster to obtain the Diamond Grit Whetstone.

Stage 3

I need to defeat Mayong Mistmoore to obtain Vedel's Song of Awakening.

Start:	I need to defeat any of the manifestations of Mayong Mistmoore.
Complete:	I have defeated Mayong Mistmoore.

I have defeated Mayong Mistmoore to obtain Vedel's Song of Awakening.

Stage 4

I need to use Vedel's Song of Awakening to imbue the Diamond Grit Whetstone.

Start:	I need to combine the Diamond Grit Whetstone with Vedel's Song.
Complete:	I have combined the Diamong Grit Whetstone with Vedel's Song and received the Humming Whetstone.

I have obtained the Humming Whetstone by combining Vedel's Song and the Whetstone.

Stage 5

I need to defeat Xygoz the dragon to obtain the Golden Refrain.

Start:	I need to defeat Xygoz.
Complete:	I have to defeat Xygoz.

I have defeated Xygoz the dragon to obtain the Golden Refrain.

Stage 6

I need to use the Golden Refrain with the Humming Whetstone.

Start:	I need to use the Golden Refrain on the Humming Whetstone.
Complete:	I have obtained the Singing Whetstone by using the Golden Refrain on the Humming Whetstone.

I have used the Golden Refrain to imbue the Humming Whetstone.

Stage 7

I need to return to Taria Truomen with the Humming Whetstone.

Start:	I need to deliver the Singing Whetstone to Taria Truomen so she can power the saber.
Complete:	I have received the empowered Lamentation of the Intrepid.

I have returned to Taria Truomen with the Humming Whetstone, and she has restored the Lamentation of the Intrepid to its most powerful state.

I have restored the Lamentation of the Intrepid to its full power.
