Kill 25 Rilissians for their belts. Auto-updated by killing Rilissian Advancers around 20, -34, 1384 . Bandits do not appear to update. Exiled Rilissians will provide updates with no Rilissian faction penalty.
Return to Barkrich Oakleaf. Receive a Bottle of Entwrite.

Kill Tairiza the Widow Mistress in the The Tomb of Thuuga for the Rune of Stamina!.
Kill Venril Sathir in Venril Sathir's Lair for the Rune of Focus!
Kill Shade of Khalan Dar in Veeshan's Peak for the Rune of Accuracy! (received when you examine the Rune from kill of last dragon in encounter)
Kill Phara Dar in Veeshan's Peak for the Rune of Control! (received when you examine the Rune from kill of last dragon in encounter)

Return all 4 runes, a Bottle of Entwrite, and the original Eagle's Talon to Ryvenar.

The book that I nearly died to obtain carries other secrets as well! Ryvenar has studied it and found new ways to add to the power of Eagle's Talon. I must obtain some powerful runes in order to proceed.

Stage 1

Ryvenar has sent me in search of some ink made by the treants! I should look for Barkrich Oakleaf in the Swamp of No Hope!

Start:	I need to obtain the ink made by treants. It must be given willingly.
Complete:	I have obtained the Entwrite!

After passing a test of loyalty, I have obtained the Entwrite!

Stage 2

I need to seek out the Rune of Stamina from a race that is perceived as spindly. Ryvenar gave me the impression that this foe would still need to be quite powerful to spin such a rune.

Start:	The Rune of Stamina seems as though it would be used by a race that would need greater endurance. Stamina is the thread of life spun by fate!
Complete:	I have the Rune of Stamina!

I have defeated the Widow Mistress and taken the Rune of Stamina from her carapace.

Stage 3

I need the Rune of Focus from a powerful Archlich. I'll need to be careful so that I do not end up a corpse myself.

Start:	I need to search out the Rune of Focus from a powerful Archlich. Such a being will not be an easy foe to topple!
Complete:	I have the Rune of Focus

I have defeated Venril Sathir and now have the Rune of Focus!

Stage 4

Ryvenar said that the Runes of Accuracy and Control would only come from a dragon! Where on Norrath am I going to find a dragon?

Start:	Dragons are not really ones to be trifled with. I had better use the caution of a mother guarding her young.
Complete:	I have defeated Phara Dar and have the rune scrawled dragon scale!

Start:	I need to remove the runes from the rune scrawled scale.
Complete:	I have the Runes of Accuracy and Control!

I have defeated Phara Dar and now have the Runes of Accuracy and Control!

Stage 5

Now that I have the runes and the Entwrite, I need to return to Ryvenar in Jarsath Wastes for direction!

Start:	I need to take these items to Ryvenar!
Complete:	I have spoke to Ryvenar!

Start:	I need to combine the runes I have gathered to make the Rune of the Marksman!
Complete:	I have successfully created the Rune of the Marksman!

I have combined the runes I gathered. I now have the Rune of the Marksman!

Stage 6

I need to give the Rune of the Marksman to Ryvenar.

Start:	I need to give the combined rune to Ryvenar.
Complete:	I gave the Rune of the Marksman to Ryvenar!

Start:	I need to give Ryvenar a few minutes to add the rune to Eagle's Talon.
Complete:	Eagle's Talon is complete!
