In following the path of Dartain, it appears that he was working on a spiritual process involving a cleaning and imprisonment. Little is known about this process, although I might be able to find more information from one of the scholars near the Mausoleum of Scholars. Perhaps this will finally lead me to what Dartain's ultimate goal was.

Stage 1

I should journey to the Sage's Rest to discover what I can about the process of assumption.

Start:	I should locate the scholar located in the Mausoleum of Scholars.
Complete:	I have spoken to the scholar.

Start:	I will need to find whatever I can of Dartain's notes within the library of Erudin.
Complete:	I have located a few scattered pieces of Dartain's notes.

Start:	I should return the notes I found to the scholar.
Complete:	I have returned Dartain's notes.

I have found some of Dartain's notes within the library of Erudin.

Stage 2

I must find and return the last page of Dartain's notes.

Start:	I should seek the last page near the gardens of Erudin.
Complete:	I searched for the page, but was attacked by void-possessed creatures, and the chest was empty.

Start:	I should return and find out why the scholar set me up.
Complete:	It appears the scholars in the Mausoleum of Scholars harbor a secret regarding the legendary Al'Kabor.

It appears that Dartain's target was none other than the famous erudite sage, Al'Kabor.

Stage 3

It seems that Dartain returned to Erudin after leaving Al'Kabor's tomb. I should search there for any traces of him.

Start:	Search for Dartain in the Palace of Erudin.
Complete:	I have spoken with Dartain and Al'Kabor.

Start:	I must defeat El'Arad, the Emissary of Roehn Theer.
Complete:	I have defeated El'Arad.

Start:	I should return to Dartain and Al'Kabor and report my success.
Complete:	I have spoken with the merged Dartain and Al'Kabor.

Start:	Dartain and Al'Kabor have asked that I deliver a message to Eva Corunno'thes in Kelethin.
Complete:	I have delivered the message.

I have spoken with Dartain and Al'Kabor, and have learned a troubling secret.

I have met Dartain, and much to my surprise, Al'Kabor. It appears that Dartain's process of spiritual assumption has merged the two power minds into one being. They have told me that the danger facing Odus has implications reaching far beyond the displaced continent - and that, in fact, everything occurring now appears to be tied to an ages old prophecy known as the Age's End. The combined Dartain and Al'Kabor believe that the end of all of Norrath may be approaching.

Kill the mobs that spawn.

Return to Amhat
Go to the Royal Palace Of Erudin and search for Dartain ( 175, 224, -49 ) .
Speak with Dartain/Al'Kabor in the third floor center room behind the fake wall. It's at the end of the hall to the west.
Kill El'Arad, Lord Primarch of Erudin.
Speak again with Dartain/Al'Kabor.
Go to Kelethin and speak with Eva Corunno'thes ( 46, 93, 79 ) .
