Tempests of Mystery  

Gorowyn residents can visit an Arcane Science Teleportation Scholar next to the Timorous Teleporter (on the ground floor) to get ported to the West Freeport Gate in The Commonlands. (There is another Arcane Science Teleportation Scholar by the West Freeport Gate for your return trip.) There is no known teleporter for citizens of Neriak. In order to use the teleportation scholar you must speak to An Arcane Science apprentice first so that you have the quest.

NOTE: If you are going to do this quest in a group, anyone that needs to mentor down must do so BEFORE you get the quest or you will not be able to share the updates from curing the tempest-touched!

1. An Arcane Science apprentice asks you to take their report to Librarian Motius Feldarn in The Academy of Arcane Science in North Freeport.
• The closest known apprentice to Gorowyn is in Butcherblock Mountains at the Yarpsnarl Camp ( -760, 100, -480 ) Copy
2. Librarian Motius Feldarn wants a particular book from the Academy's collection. Find The Inimicus Codex on a table at 6,-6,-137 Copy .
3. Take the book back to Librarian Motius Feldarn.
4. Librarian Motius Feldarn asks you to go to Lavastorm and speak to a member of the Order of Flame inside the Shrine of Thunder.
5. Speak to Pallasa Rargon in Lavastorm at -148,-117,634 Copy . She gives you an Acumen Occultation Instrument.
6. Take the Acumen Occultation Instrument back to Librarian Motius Feldarn. (Gorowyn residents, remember that teleporter! If you are from Neriak your best bet is to hoof it.)

   Cleansing a tempest touched fallen orc in East Commonlands.

   1. Librarian Motius Feldarn gives you the Min Frith Dorchae, which you are to use on nine tempest affected creatures.
   • These are all over Norrath wherever the tempest storms appear. See a tempest touched creature for reported locations.
   • You must equip the Acumen Occultation Instrument to see the tempest touched creatures.
   • A voidbeast will spawn when you reverse the Void tempest's effects. It will scale to your level. You do NOT, however, need to kill the voidbeast! You get the update from curing the tempest touched, not from killing the voidbeast. They have a long chase range but you can easily run them off.
   2. Return to Librarian Motius Feldarn to get your reward. Cash varies by level. Rewards include a Title: Tempest Chaser, which is granted automatically and can be selected in your Persona window.
