This quest is given by Ishara, Caliph of Truth in the Court of Truth after you complete the quest Court of Truth: Ishara's Search.
The first task is to gather 20 Beryllium Clusters and 20 Rough Nacre from mining stones in The Pillars of Flame. You can also buy these on brokers commonly. After receiving these you must visit the Steward of the Vizier in the Tower of the Moon.
The Steward then has a few tasks for you. You must first kill 25 Raef Ew Lizardmen in the Sinking Sands. You must then kill 15 Anaz Mal Diviners in the Sinking Sands, then speak to the Steward again. After this you must kill 50 Orcs in the Clefts of Rujark.
You must then draw out and trap a Sphinx in the Sinking Sands. Head to ( -1329, -188, -1130 ) in the Sinking Sands and plant staves in the five rocks. Once you have done this Altairenanhk, the Sphinx will spawn and attack. He is a 55^^^ Heroic single mob encounter. Kill him and return to Ishara for your choice of rewards.

Ok, I placed all five staves in the rocks and the sphinx didn't spawn...I stood there for like 15 min because I know it can take a little bit for him to come flying in..wtf?

The quest isnt to kill the mobs, it is to get drops off them. The Raef ew drops are uncommon, I had to kill about 80 to get the 25 drops. The Anaz Mal diviners drop the part every time.

Please note. The best way to buy the rocks on the broker because
1. they r cheap and
2. the broker is downstairs
Also note when u buy them do it ONE AT A TIME!!!!!if u buy them in bulk then u will only get one update for the whole thing.Example u buy 20 nacre u will not get 20/20 nacre and will be done with that part of the quest u will get only 1/20. that will save u some money

Terrorgore is given by Rashina, Ishara's daughter, after finishing Ishara's search.
you should do that one at the same time as this one as the steps are similar ie: kill a # of lizardmen, kill a # of gnolls, kill a # of orcs in cleft. only diff is terrorgore ones are timed

You also recieve 4,000 faction for the Court of the Truther and -4000 faction to the Blades and Coin

I also was able to get the "Terrorgore" quest without completing this one. I don't think that this quest is a prerequisite for "Terrorgore."

please edit the walkthrough to reflect that you do not have to talk to the vizier after the orcs you go straight to the sphinx

The order of killing orc's in clefts and talking to Stewerd is wrong, once you've killed the ew and Anaz Mal you talk to the stewerd then go to clefts and kill 50 orcs

yes the loc given is wrong. the rigth loc is to follow the east shorewayup by the dune spiderlings,head north till you come to a path on your rigth this takes you to the rigth loc. enjoy!!!!!!!!!

The Terrorgore Quest series and this one doesnt seem to be linked...

Buying the clusters off the broker does work.

Couple of things I did that helped with speed of completion.
I solo'd the mobs for a while, until I found out that the quest update doesn't happen for every mob.
So got a healer (I'm an AE'er), and we collected up groups of mobs for the Gnolls and lizardmen at Twin tears, then did the same at 'cooks' in Clefts for the orcs. Did the thing in no time that way. (I suggest a tank if you, like me, are the robe wearer but if you're below say... 54. At 58 I was able to tank just due to the level difference.)
The Sphinx was like a 55^^^ and was able to root nuke him alone for 75% of the kill, then tanked with a healer next to me for the last 25%. He has knockback, so be sure to put your back on the wall.

Hmm once I camp the quest started to work as intended and the LOC was correct. It's the island thatyou get to using the stone bridge from the clifts to the island.

The "Head to" loc(1270, -173, -1110). given to set the sphinx trap, leads me into the PoF and not to the edge of northern coastal clifts area I have tired also to use a neg with the 1270 but no luck. I can't seem to find the 5 rocks to place the torches and have scouted most of the sea wall and islands. Could you please elaberate more on the area where to place the trap.

Soloed him as 53 Wizard. Rooting him at max range while he is mid-air seemed to keep him from casting :)

After the lizard and diviners you have to collect 50 Rujarkian orcs. The ones in Clefts of Rujark update.

After the 15 diviners, and 25 updates on the lizardmen, we had to go back to the Steward, then he sent us out to kill Rujarkian orcs, the ones in Sinking Sands will not update.

The sphinx itself has a nasty knockback and its level 55 ^^^.

Ishara has hired me to capture him a new kadaren for him to train for use in the Games. He wants me to get him a sphinx and provided me with instructions on how to make a special box, like a djinn bottle, that will hold the creature safely.
I gathered all the materials I needed for the box.
I took the materials to the Steward of the Vizier.
I collected the staves from the Anaz Mal and the hearts from the lizardmen.
I spoke with the Steward of the Vizier and received the constructed prison box.
I destroyed and captured the spirits of 50 Rujarkian orcs.
I captured the sphinx in the prison box!
I gave the prison box to Ishara.I was able to create the prison box and capture the sphinx for Ishara. If he can successfully train the sphinx to fight for him he will a difficult match for anyone in the Games.
Stage 1
