Revelation (Freeport)  

FYI 30 assassin...

We attempted this Icy Digs portion of this quest today with two groups. FYI, you must be on this part of the quest or you wont be able to zone it, and you can only take a single group. Also, you will be locked out of the zone for 18 hours. So plan accordingly.

A side note, at level 60, I still got grey aggro, so we had to fight our way down to the third scroll. But the lockout timer also happened for our second group that did not fighting at all.

Icy Dig Steps

1. At the zone in is a mob called a roekillik watcher; he will immediately call an alarm and run off deeper into the area -HE MUST be killed FAST- if he is killed quickly, only a few miners will respond but if he is not, the whole area will soon be piling on. The Roekillik miners can be a challenge, even when grey, and moving through the area sets of charges which have a nasty stifle on them.
2. Explosive powder must be looted from the Roekillik miners and used to blast a hole through the wall blocking off Vox's Chamber. (Stand as close as possible to the wall and "use" the blasting powder.) Once the wall comes down, there are two Roekillik watchers who will summon more mobs to attack unless they are quickly killed. [one goes right the other left, THEY MUST be killed FAST]
3. Head to the Statue Room, blasting another wall in the process. Read the scroll at 146.69, 3.14, -451.35. There are two named Roekillik here (53^^^) who will attack.
4. Next to Alangria's Room (-169.81, -17.49, -196.11), blasting the wall out of the way on the way in, and read the scroll at -159.15, 3.14, -424.6. Again, there are two named Roekillik (53^^^) there who will attack.
5. Finally, head to +155, +3, -300. The way is blocked by Ghagan the Enforcer, a 57 Epic x 4 Frost Giant. (NOTE: The X-4 raid requires all parties to have access to enter raid zone.) Even if grey, he will attack. And he'll keep attacking. Even if you die and revive at the entrance to the zone, he'll immediately run there and re-engage.

He Spawned on top of us as we got the 2nd update....we all died horribly!!! and worse yet kept dieing till we zoned out for the 18 hour lock out.

We (39 nekro and 39 assa) went into the mines on zek today, it is ths same map as the normal mines you must go to for shield heritage of grozmag, but you start near one of the 3 smithroom, the smithforeman droppt nothing 2 times we had to knock him down. On the way to the elevator were 2 group of mobs, each of them 3mobs 1x^^,and 2x ^ at lev 36/37 they are quiet strong. Following the path to left side going into the next tunnel was unfortune for us because there at the smith spawnt an epic mob(greater rumbler)lev 37x2 and we hat to evac.
Now we must kill the mobs again cause you evac to zek:the orkish wastelandes.
NOw we head the right way direction to the chamber of profe in normal map, to find the last scroll.
first was sirect at the smith near zone in, second right around the corner in elevator room. I hope this can help someone because i found nothing to zek mines here, only cl und icydigs

1) At the statues room: 147, 3.14, -450.80

yes, players over lvl 60 can now complete this quest :) and a group isnt necessary to enter, but i would recomend it cuz of aggro when you blow up the walls. double click the door to get the option to go to icy diggs as right clicking the door will only bring up PF zone. make sure to buy the explosive charges before entering. i also was unable to target the wall itself, but the trick with pulling a mob to it worked after a few tries.

The minimum group size has been lifted for the Icy Digs so I thought I'd try to finish this old grey quest off (70 Guardian). I didn't have success but this is info I can pass on:

~Explosive charges cost 15g a pop from the Ratongan merchant outside the Icy Digs. Each one has 5 charges on it. You may need more than one.

~I couldn't target the walls to use explosive charges on them, but could kite a mob to the wall and use the charge on the mob. The wall then blew up. This worked for the first wall right before where the Vision of Vox area is in the other version of this zone. It also worked on the wall right before the statue area. (2 charges down, 3 left)

~The whole zone is grey but some mobs will be auto aggressive anyway even though they don't show as being aggressive.

~Chameleon totems didn't help.

~The /loc for the scroll in the Statue Room is 147, 3, -450.

~I then ran to Alangria's area. I kited a mob to the wall there and tried to blow the wall twice. It failed to blow both times. Bah, 4 charges down! I had only one charge left so thought maybe I needed to get the scroll from the giant's area first before it let me blow this wall.

~The giant is called Ghagan the Enforcer, 57 ^^^ (Epic x 4). He wasn't wandering so I didn't see a way to get past him. Maybe I didn't get to him fast enough. I did get auto agro and promptly wiped. Upon reviving he has been auto agro and has even come running to meet me at the revive point. I was dead again before I even had time to rebuff. Respawning is pretty much just a death loop now. His smallest hit on me was 1429, his biggest was for 4785.

~It may be possible to solo at 70 but for me this is going to require waiting out the zone timer and trying again. Avoiding Ghagan agro is vital as he would be impossible to solo.

Have any of you who are 60+ thought about mentoring? Should be able to get quest credit that way. And you could have a full group at that.

So, clear it for me: for 46+ this is instance zone, which have same entrance as Permafrost? Just i'm 66 now, on Icy Digs step and solo I could enter only PF itself. Do I need to be under 60?, Do I need group FOR ENTERING ZONE, or could enter alone?

Ok i got two of the parts from bsv then ran otu of invis pots. I was then locked out when i went back after the timer had run the option does not show up. I am thus trying the zek locs but they do not lead me to anything. I assume there is an instance like bsv but which one is it?

I started the quest in my 40s, but now am 47.. it will not allow me to go back into the zek areas, so where would i go in permafrost? I see the coordinates, but where is the instance I am supposed to enter, or what is the name of the instance? Thanks.

I'm a 28 necro and went solo in the instance of BSV, named 'Roekkillik Excavation'. While being invisible I scouted a bit. When I entered a building at the far back it went OK, but then I went to the top floor (on top of the building) some mobs with detect invis saw me and I was dead in a few seconds :*(
I wasn't able to scout the tents.

Next time I'll bring in some friends, I don't know if I have to be the only one with access or the whole group needs it.
