This is a level 20 quest and doesn't appear to be related to Disturbance or the Drakota World Event in any way. It just happens to involve the same NPC.

Pearl Honeywine, a social anthropologist in Qeynos Harbor, asked for my help in investigating the reappearance of the roekillik, an ancient race of ratmen. They are apparently unwilling to speak with Pearl but she thinks they might open up to me. The only information she has on them currently is that they are surveying mines around Norrath. This might take me a little bit of time but I know I can find them.

Stage 1

I need to find out about the roekillik.

Start:	Pearl suggested I find out what the roekillik are surveying in the mines around Norrath. I might start in the Commonlands.
Complete:	Spoke with roekillik Surveyor Menak.

Start:	Surveyor Menak suggested I would learn more from a roekillik engineer.
Complete:	Located and spoke to roekillik Engineer Klaaska.

Start:	Return to Pearl Honeywine in Qeynos Harbor and tell her what I've learned.
Complete:	Spoke with Pearl Honeywine.

I've learned more about the roekillik's purposes.

Stage 2

I need to further investigate what the roekillik are doing in the mines.

Start:	Look for unusual activity in local mines. I may need to travel quite a distance to locate the appropriate mine.
Complete:	I have located one of their dig sites.

I've learned still more about the roekillik's return.

Stage 3

After observing the dig for a short while, you noticed a flurry of activity -- a drakota arriving and being ushered inside by the roekillik. They must be the "investors."

Start:	I should report back to Pearl Honeywine in Qeynos Harbor and tell her what I've learned.
Complete:	Spoke with Pearl Honeywine.

Pearl will confer with her colleagues.

The roekillik were hired by the drakota to locate some "rare substances." Pearl Honeywine seemed a bit concerned that the drakota are involved in this. She's taking some time to confer with her colleagues and asked me to check back with her. It sounds as though she's going to need my assistance down the road.

This quest is given by Mareva D'Iniv in the library of North Freeport or Pearl Honeywine in Qeynos Harbor (near Down Below entrance). It is part of an ongoing world event.

You must find out more about the Roekillik who have been sprouting up in the mines throughout the world. Start by speaking with Surveyor Menak in the Commonlands ( 43.42, -24.04, -883.34 ) . He'll send you to speak to Engineer Klaaska at ( -19.67, -39.76, -889.83 ) in the Commonlands. The quest given by Engineer Klaaska is a 20 level quest that is not part of the Disturbance quest chain.

After this you can return to Mareva or Pearl to receive the next part of the quest. It should be noted that at this point Roekilliks can spawn anywhere and attack you.

The next step involves either traveling to Bloodskull Valley if you are under 30, the Mysterious Mine in Zek ( -169.81, -17.49, -196.11 ) if you are level 30-45 or lower, or the entrance to Permafrost in Everfrost if you are level 46+. If you have problems getting the update you should zone in and then back out again to get it.

After doing this return to Mareva or Pearl to close the Disturbance quest and open the Revelation quest.
