This is one of several faction raising tasks in the Sinking Sands for The Court of Truth. Be warned that this quest lowers your faction with The Court of the Coin and The Court of the Blades. This quest is given by Taj As'ad at the docks.
- Collect three uncommon auto-updates from a random NPC type in the zone, such as Dry Bones Skeletons ( -944, -229, -1050 ) or skeletal cobras ( -344, -95, -441 ) .
- Obtain two more auto-updates from another random NPC type, such as a mummy ( -1042, -96, -823 ) .
Once you obtain both you can return to Taj As'ad for you reward.

Taj As'ad has asked for my assistance in helping the Court of Truth with their aims here in the Sinking Sands.
I have found the items Taj requires for the Court of Truth.
I've tested the creatures and found none worthwhile for their use.
I have fulfilled my obligations to the Court of Truth.I have fulfilled all the duties Taj asked of me in the Sinking Sands.
Stage 1

are at loc -212.61, -160.83, -1, 352 behind the tent in the raptor area so be carefull those roam and are heroic

Worked this one today - had to get 2 Mummy's for Testing in Area - found them rigth were the lesser Mummy's are...(-996, -61, -1097) 2 in a row - took maybe 5 min to do the whole quest!

Deleted this quest in frustration, then picked it up today. I just had to do skeletal cobras and dry bones skeletons...I did NOT have to kill mummies this time, so I wonder if the mummies were pulled?

I found "a mummy" at -608, -233, -1317 there were about four of them. "lesser mummy" and "shriveled mummy" do not count toward this.

I guess I must have missed them before, but desert lunatics wander around near dune spiderlings, and according to others in zone, everywhere else. After I killed a couple desert lunatics and got the update, the second part required me to "test a **** mal diviner for the arena"... killed one diviner, received update, and that was all. Return to Taj As'ad.

And then it has one skull and cross bones picture underneath... so i've see desert madmen, anyone seen lunatics? or will madmen work?

Ozmandius, it doesn't say you kill the mummies in the arena, it says to test mummies for their competence in the arena. You need to kill mummies in Sinking Sands that are south east of the Bay of Anuk. Lesser mummies won't work. Look for "a mummy".
