When you first zone into The Frozen Tundra you will find yourself on either the red (Kromzek) or blue (Coldain) team. Your ledge will be located near your team's keep with the opposing team's keep on opposite side of the zone.
In this match you can gain points from defeating enemy players (1), NPCs (10-35), towers (100), gate guardian (200), keep gate (200) and their relic of power (1000, immediate win). NPCs of your faction will join in on the action and assist in taking out enemy players and will continue working their way toward the keep. Like public quests the mobs on your side cannot be damaged by your AoE abilities so don't be shy about unleashing your fury.
Each team has two towers which are denoted by the colored light emanating from its top. Once a tower is defeated npcs of that side will cease to respawn from it. The towers have high regeneration and health and will need several team members to take down. Expect to be attacked by the opposing faction's NPCs frequently while fighting a tower.
After you defeat the other team's towers proceed to their keep gate. There will be a heroic group of mobs defending this gate which you will need to defeat. Once they're down take out the gate with your teammates which, like the towers, has a high regeneration rate and a LOT of health. When the gate goes down the relic is just inside, and destroying that will commit an instant win for your team.
During all of this your team will need to keep the other team in check and ensure that they are not destroying your keep or attacking you from behind! Zone messages will keep you apprised of what is being destroyed and when your own relic of power is vulnerable to attack.
The first team to 1000 points will win the match. If no team reaches 1000 points within 15 minutes then the team with the highest score will take home the prize.
The Frozen Tundra, introduced in Game Update 60, features a Vanquish game type as players go head to head for either the Coldain or the Kromzek!
