Speak to a senior Steel shackle monk at -65, -45, 141 in The Tabernacle of Pain to begin the trial.

Destroy a Black Reaver, a golem in The City of Mist
Step to the center of the cage at -84, -42, 161 . An opponent will appear and the walls will rise. Defeat your opponent.

If you are a pet class, YOU must strike the final blow, not your pet, or you will not get credit.
If you have friends with you, have them stand where the walls will rise so they will be on the wall and able to maintain line-of-sight. They must NOT be inside the cage and, as above, YOU must strike the final blow!

Return to a senior Steel shackle monk.

Rewards the Title: "of the Steel Shackle".

I should travel to the City of Mist and destroy the golem known as the Black Reaver. I've been warned that it can be difficult to locate but should be patient. Once I have defeated it, I can return to the Tabernacle to face a member of the Steel caste in combat to enter the caste of Steel.

Stage 1

I need to overcome the first challenge in the Trial of Steel.

Start:	I should find and destroy the Black Reaver within the City of Mist.
Complete:	I have found and destroyed the Black Reaver.

I have overcome the first challenge in the Trial of Steel.

Stage 2

I need to overcome the second challenge in the Trial of Steel.

Start:	I should notify the Master of Trials that I am ready to fight.
Complete:	I have spoken with the Master of Trials and begun my combat.

Start:	I need to defeat a Swifttail of the Steel caste in one on one combat.
Complete:	I have defeated a Swifttail of the Steel caste in combat.

I have overcome the second challenge in the Trial of Steel.

Stage 3

I should notify my senior that I have passed the Trial of Steel in order to advance in rank.

Start:	I need to speak with the senior Steel initiate.
Complete:	I have spoken with the senior Steel initiate.

I have spoken with my senior and advanced to the rank of Steel.

I have completed the Trial of Steel and entered the caste of Steel.
