It seems there may be an outside presence in a nearby valley. Apparently Merchant Marcus in The Commonlands may have more information on the situation.
It seems that a group of evil Antonican magi have taken refuge in a nearby valley that has been blocked off by a landslide. In order to reach it I will need an Earthwalking Potion from Merchant Marcus. He has given me a list of ingredients to gather for the potion, it looks like they will be easy enough to get.
Now that I have gathered the "ingredients" for the "magic potion" I should return to Merchant Marcus and see what happens.
Despite my doubts Merchant Marcus has indeed given me a potion of some sort. I should take a closer look to see if this is really a Potion of Earthwalking as he said.Now that I have the Potion of Earthwalking I should be able to enter the Valley of the Rogue Magi.

All of those items he needs can be found on "oasis shrubbery" in CL as well as in Ant.

I just talked to Marcus and he wants me to gather 5 black tea leaves, 5 antonican coffee beans, and 5 murdunk oranges. So, looks like I get to head to Antonica to finish this one up...

Lockout is 45 minutes. 2 hours if you kill the named (the up arrow mobs).

Since the removal of alchemy harvests from the game, this quest was altered to gathering:

Whim is right - Merchant Marcus is at +637, -52, +437 ... at the tent immediately outside the zone point for Valley of the Rogue Magi (which is on the game map).

Ahoy Mates - I just wanted to help others that may be having a difficult time finding this Merchant Marcus they be speakin' about. I found him way over Southwest in the Commonlands. The location listed above is *almost* correct - the correct location for Merchant Marcus is (-673,-52,+437). Now you could just hail a guard and type in the name, or for some of you new folks - you can type /waypoint (x,y,z) and a glowing trail will be leadin' ya to that location!

Serrated is correct in that Marcus sells the potions, but be aware that they only become available from him once you finish "The Secret Valley" quest.

That happened to me also, used potion and it zoned me in but i also found out Merchant Marcus sells the potions so just buy one and you can go back in.

I stated the quest, collected all the needed items and finally zoned into the Valley. I crashed and was dead when logging back in. All I could do is revive and absorb my spirit when right clicking on the zone entrance.
I am now unable to reoptain the quest :/

The wanted poster is at -480,-45,-301 on a stone obelisk type thing at the crossroads... nowhere near the loc specified here. The loc specified here is for Merchant Marcus.

This quest is initiated by examining an a Wanted Poster at the Crossroads in the Commonlands ( -480, -45, -301 ).
The first step is to seek out Marcus. He can be found a bit northwest of the Hidden Canyon Station at 637, -52, 437 at the tent just outside of the Valley of the Rogue Magi in the Commonlands. He asks you to gather three components by harvesting in the Commonlands:
Bring him these items and he will give you a Potion of Earthwalking. Examining this item will open up the Valley of the Rogue Magi quest, that gives access to the Valley of the Rogue Magi
