Next Askr wishes me to travel to Kylong Plains and power the three rods within that region. Doing so should create a storm big enough to bring the Avatar of Storms into Norrath once more. I should place the Staff of Storms on the eastern end of the coast, the Rod of Rain on the central coast, and the Cane of Clouds on the western coast in spots designated by small black jewels. I should then place the crystals around the summoning circle up on the rocks at the west end of the shore. I need to lure the elemental that will spawn nearby into the circle for the ritual to be complete.

Stage 1

I need to place the rods along the shoreline in the spots designated by small black jewels.

Complete:	I have lured the storm elemental into the circle.

Start:	I should collect the powered Shards from around the summoning circle.

I need to return to Askr in Timorous Deep.

I didn't notice the reward on the quest window above says at least 5g. I received over 1p on turn-in as a level 60. I didn't pay attention to the quest window when I received the quest if it said just "at least 5g 7s"; if it did, Askr was sure feeling generous!

I just completed this on my level 60 fury. Getting to the crystals is a lot easier if you just jump in the water at the docks and head easterly along the shores. It's a long swim but there are no mobs in the water. You'll end up at Kunzar's Edge if you stay to the south of the island you pass (and it appears you can't go swim past it so you'll know you're there). A lot of the Sathirians along the road using the route above see invisibility no matter your level, especially the guards in the tunnels. If you don't know your way around the zone well I recommend this unless you like to live dangerously. Most of the mobs in the vicinity of the crystals also don't see invisibility (but a few do and there are also level 71s that saw me but were easily avoided).

This is the fourth quest in the Karana deity series.

Askr sends you to Kylong Plains with the charged staves to charge crystals needed. The altars are marked by three large black jewels on the shores.

Go to Kylong Plains, place the three charged staves on the western, eastern, and central shores. If you have a Sokokar, fly to Kunzar's Edge post. If not, head from Dreg's Landing (Kylong docks) towards the path across the stream which leads to the right. The iksar fortress of Varis will be visible, head towards it, careful of aggro. Cross the first bridge, bear to the left of the fork in the tunnel, cross the other bridge over to the island.

Altar of Clouds: at the shore at Kunzar's Edge tower, at -1350.24, 1.32, 476.37
Altar of Storms: at the shore by the tatterback gorillas, at -911.42, 8.97, -331.90
Altar of Rains: at the shore by the Mudfin Yha-Lei, at -1408.49, 3.63, -188.43

Go to summoning circle, up at the Wall of Emperors, where the iksar statues are, just up from Kunzar's Edge, at -1448.00,53.90,355.06 . Just click on the circle, auto-places the crystals and the elemental will spawn nearby.
Lure the elemental over, do not fight it, it'll become aggro when you get close, just run to the circle and pass over it and you'll get the ding.
Collect the crystals and return to Askr for your reward, Askr's Altar to Karana.
