Ghalib has sent you to look for more strange bones like the one you found around the Sundered Frontier. There must be something to this mystery! Ghalib mentioned you might even have to look in the stomach of creatures that may have eaten the strange creature.

Stage 1

Try to find more strange bones like the ones you found in the Kejaan's Rill riverbed.

Start:	You should keep an eye out for strange shards of bone. Your best bet would be looking for beasts that would eat other creatures.
Complete:	You have found a good number of strange shards of bone.

Stage 2

Return to Ghalib in Paineel with the newly found bones.

Start:	Return to Ghalib with the extra bones.
Complete:	You have returned to Ghalib with the extra bones.

You have returned to Ghalib in Paineel with the newly found bones.

Stage 3

Return to Kejaan's Rill and look for any sign of the creatures the bones could have come from.

Start:	Look around Kejaan's Rill for any sign of what animal the bones could have come from.
Complete:	You found an ancient spirit within the Kejaan's Rill who says he will tell you his story if you prove you are worthy.

Stage 4

Return to Ghalib and tell him you found nothing.

Start:	Tell Ghalib you found nothing in the Kejaan's Rill riverbed.

You have returned to Ghalib claiming you found nothing.

Ghalib sent you to find more strange bones like the ones discovered in the Kejaan's Rill riverbed. You found more bones and uncovered a hidden spirit named Jin'tu. You now are working to gain his trust in order to learn his story.

Prerequisite: You must complete the quests on Kerra Isle up to Need More Proof and the quests in Stonebrunt Encampment up to An Interesting Find to receive this quest.

For this quest, you need to kill "meat eating" mobs for small a shard of strange bone updates which drop in small chests - see the a shard of strange bone page for drop rates. If you are in a group, the small chest will contain one shard for each of you. Note that you do not need one of each bone, or any particular combination of bone typesl you could camp one area and loot bones from the same mobs over and over again if you wanted.

Once you have all 10 updates, return to Captain Ghalib Elbaz. He will send you out to Kejaan's Rill, so ask the temporal guide to send you back to Stonebrunt Encampment.
Head to 565, 196, 4000 and hail Jin'tu. He will offer you another quest, Proving Intentions. Accepting it gives you your update.
Return to Captain Ghalib Elbaz to complete the quest.

Just to let everyone know (since I had to figure it out the hard way), Any combination of these creatures can drop a chest with the items you need. You don't have to kill one of each kind. You can just farm the type that you can find.
