Just did this on my 67 Jeweler (62 Templar)... Just writing what & how much of everything it took me to finish "Fangs Away!" quest.

Fixing drolvarg fangs into a ferrite shaft to create powerful fang-tipped arrows.

drolvarg fang (10 are gives by an NPC to do 10 combines)
2 Ferrite Cluster (need 20 for 10 combines)
2 Redwood Lumber (need 20 for 10 combines)
5 smoldering coal (need 50 for 10 combines, 83g33s to buy 50)

Produces
25-100 (on highest quality you get 100 arrows (so 10 combines to get 1000, req. for quest)

Yeah...great write up...Gratz and thanks for potentially sending people to their death...I'm glad I'm here to stop the propaganda...

"Hey....all you below level 65...just go to Teren's grasp...you know...through all the drolvargs, giants, spiders and various other vermin"...

Or...you could just stay on the dock...go to the provisioner merchant next to the forge (which you need anyway), buy your fuel, get the wood and ferrite clusters from a friend (or, more to the point, a high-level alt like most people already have) and simply make your arrows to complete the quest.

No offense Calthine, but don't quit your day job. Prima won't hire you as a walk-through author.

I REALLY wish people wouldn't post "solutions" based on only what they think they know, and not what they REALLY know. This "it happened this way when I did it" is bunk. If you're truly going to post solutions and walk-throughs, GET ALL THE FACTS AS YOU'RE DOING THEM, NOT AS YOU "REMEMBER" THEM.

I say this as someone who writes many walk-throughs for many games...and I diligently take notes all the way through so that others can TRULY benefit from the accurate information I have....I don't post unless I'm absolutely SURE of my facts.

So, Calthine, thanks for your many years of game-of-horseshoes accuracy..."Close".

Actually, I do my quest write ups on my laptop while I'm playing. Nothing to remember, I edit the wiki on the fly, step-by-step.

There was nothing wrong with the facts the way I wrote them, except that I never used the forge on the docks (keep forgetting it's there, to be frank). There's absolutely no agro on the way to Terren's Grasp, tho, lol. The spiders and drolvargs and giants are the other way! A level 3 adventurer can do it without a scratch.

How about instead of berating me you click that edit button and edit the walk through? That's what wiki's are for!

PS: You are going to have to get past the Drolvarg later in the series :)

This is the alternate sokokar quest for crafters. You must be at least a level 65 crafter.

Assistant Jones is fed up with all the bags full of drolvarg fangs the bounty hunters are constantly bringing to Borbin. She'd like me to get rid of them somehow.

Scribe the book that appears in your inventory, 101 Things To Do With Fangs, volume 1. You'll get a fang tipped arrow recipe. Make 1000 arrows out of the drolvarg fangs she gave you! You'll need the forge, which is conveniently located on the docks by the Mender.
