This quest is given by Dyric Pire after completing the Custom Fitted Armor - Part III Quest. This time he will send you to the Edgewater Drains on a killing spree. You must kill:
- 12 Contaminated Rats (Western zone in)
- 10 Murkwater Veterans or 10 Murkwater Henchmen (Middle of two zone ins)
- 12 Drudge Mucus (Eastern Zone in)
On December 23 a player reported he was sent to kill:
- 10 sewage vipers (Edgewater Drains 3)
- 12 contaminated rats (Edgewater Drains 2)
- 12 drudge mucous (Edgewater Drains 1).

Dyric Pire has asked me to collect ingredients he needs to make some special armor. He's agreed to pay me with new armor to protect my shoulders if I collect these ingredients for him.
I've completed what Dyric has asked. I should return to him and see what he can make from them.

Stage 1
I'm going to need some fangs taken from the mouths of sewage vipers in Edgewater Drains. I can use them in a few special pieces of armor that I craft for Freeport dignitaries. And while you're at it, see if you can find some of the fluid the drudge mucus creatures secrete. And kill some of those contaminated rats while you're down there, you can smell them all the way up here. - Dyric| Start: | I must gather some sewage viper fangs from the vipers found in Edgewater Drains for Dyric. |

The contaminated rats are down on Edgewater II, primarily in the south eastern corner of the zone ... take the northern entrance out of Serpent Sewers and you'll spend MUCH less time getting here - go north and up around the corner to head back south/southwest... take a right at the tee (west) and follow that towards the end - should be no problem finding the rats there.

I'm not sure about it, but it seems that those rat share the same spawn than some frogs (dont remember the name), that are non aggro. Found only 6 rats today, and only frogs after. When I decided to kill some frogs, we finally got rats pop here and there...

The entrance to Edgewater Drains is at 10, 1, -129 think. It was marked as Thieves Way when I found it. You can look up the atlas for it on this site, if those coordinates are wrong.

WHERE THE HELL IS THE ENTRANCE!!! ive taken 15 laps of Serpent sewer taken every possible road... still no Edgewater!! is there an accessquest for it??

Started doing this quest tonight and got it all done with a group of six except for 13 Rats.
BTW...We had excellent luck with loot. 4 adept 1 spells (I got an Assassin's Mark) and we also got the rare steel chest drop (dropped a Master 1 Harm Touch).

Does anyone know the stat difference between the heavy armor reward and the med armor reward for completing this part of the AQ???

Gromrot if you are a heavy armor class you get the hammered spaulders if you are a medium class you get the link mantle you dont get to choose you get what is best for you

The quest reward for heavy armor classes is Cold Hammered Spaulders, not Cold Link Spaulders. You might want to fix the name for anybody who is trying to search on the item.
