A Thief in the House of Truth  

Even after killing the Guardian, the force field was still up for me for like 10 sec. Thought I was stuck:)

The mobs repop at different levels so if one or more of the mobs con grey to you, just gather what keys you can then zone out. Once the timer for the quest expires you can re-enter. Repeat this process until you are able to get all three keys.

Here is the "trick" to doing this easily. First, as soon as you enter kill the two guards and the historian you see. As a 52 Inq. After they are dead a chest will drop with a key. To the left, as you enter, where the first historian is standing, is a room with 2 more guards and another historian; kill them, get key. Go all the way downstairs. Be careful as there is a guard just inside the door on the right hand side. Kill the 2 guards and the historian, get the key. There is no timer up to this point. Now,EXIT the instance or you wont get the necessary update. Return and, INVIS to the Banner case against the far wall or the big room at the bottom of the stairs. Examine the case. That gives you the update and starts the timer. Now, examine again and, if you have studied the book, you have an option to speak a name; select that option. Now use the keys to take unlock the case and take the banner. You get the update and you can walk on out, no worries.

I did just like below explained but am still locked out by the forcefield, even though I got the banner, spoke the name, and my journal says to now exit the way I came. I've tried this quest a few times and keep getting the same problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

"If you got all three keys but ran out of time, exit and reenter. Go downstairs immediatly and avoid the agro historian. Go straight to the case, unlock it, speak the name, take the banner and exit!"

Me too. the Coin door doesn't work to get me in and the Truth door doesn't work to get me out. I tried deleting the quest all together, deleting the key drops, killing the sweeper again to get the entrance key, restarting from scratch, and still no joy.

I have no clue about this quest. Ive tried doing everything, killed everything in zone cant get out, leave the mobs alone and just grap the banner still cant get out. Ive tried 6-7 times doing this everyway I can think of always finish with plenty of time just cant get out the same way I came in so cant get update on quest.

Same thing happening to me, has to be bugged or Iam missing something? I kill everything and have the keys, get banner, then kill guardian/s and then I can get back upstairs but service dose NOT work. Plenty of time left, but the only option out is through front door and no update. Iam ally Truth faction. Also, I could not find the Coin servants door today. I had the Thief in the House of Coin quest up so did the other peep and could not get in. Only guess is last patch messed it up.

It's not working for me either. There is no 'go straight out' option. The only exit is the normal front door exit for Court of Truth

If you don't want to be bothered by the guardian for this quest read the other tale in the book that updated the tale of dalgin b'dynn it will tell you the name of the guardian and then there will be an option to speak the guardians true name and he will not appear after you take the banner. After this you can walk straight out.

The best way to do this quest is to kill everything needed and get the keys. Then explore the area find out how to retrive the banner. But on the second time entering do not kill the guards by the banner kill them after the giant. This will unlock the barrier.

I never got an option to say any name. I just took the banner and killed the mob it spawned. The force field was still up, so I reinspected the case, which respawned the mob. killed it again and it let me out.

I never got the option to speak any name, then again I am of the blades faction. There was only one option available at each step of the dialog, which lead to the guardian poppping. Well I killed the guardian 3 times (for each of the 3 keys) and the zone respawned and was able to get out and get the completed quest.
