A Strange Stone Wedge  

The coordinates listed in this thread and responses are NOT correct! I just completed the Pirate portion. First, for noobies, the Dock mentioned is the Dock you arrive when traveling to the Common Lands. The shipwreck is off the end of this dock a ways.

Note: If there are other players in the area, you may have to wait for the Pirates to re-spawn - there are only a few of them. Here are the coordinates where I killed my last Pirate: (-1141.06,-149,-854.41). If you "hover" here on the surface, you can see the shipwreck - you can also see the "ribs" of a ship's bow. The Pirates are generally located between the wreck and the ribs. Watch, and swim above the shipwreck if you need to. Use your mouse arrow to locate the Pirates and target them - they will appear to be small white dots. Then swim down toward the target, and attack with whatever weapon/spell as soon as it activates. Then quickly swim up to the surface. They will follow you and attack from underneath. You can easily kill them on the surface without fighting in the sea depths (as long as your Level is correct).

The game coordinates for the shipwreck itself: (-1101.48,-209.98,-850.84). Remember, only the Pirates will count! Happy Hunting!

Also, the pirates you have to kill are no longer grouped.

The Dull Wedge still drops, found a lot of them at the Turmoil Cemetary.

The giants 12 and 13^^^could barely hit my lvl 20 SK. All I was wearing were the AQ1-3 and some random armor pieces acquired through chests. Did this quest at lvl 14 had full group lvls 14-16 had no problem. And these were good Exp.

I'm doing the quest, but not sure where to buy the Totem of the Otter from. I tried to look it up but can't find anything on it. This totem would be a big help. Is there a merchant in the Qeynos area that will sell them? or is the merchant only in Freeport area???

I received the wedge from a vulrich I killed near Yapping Maze. (I had destroyed my first one before completing quest because I had run out of slots, but the second one, when examined, picked right up where I left off.) The pirates we also killed easily by drawing them up to the surface (as a Warlock, I just swam down far enough to hit them with a spell then let them follow me to the surface).

I destroyed the dull wedge because i'm a tube and didn't realise you needed to keep it.

Is there any way to get another one?

Actually you can pull them and hit them from the surface, dont need to loot them to get quest update =)

Got the Dull Wedge to drop from a Carrion Hound at the river fork South East of the druid rings

The pirates are under water directly off the dock. Swim off the dock and head toward the bottom. Their is a wrecked ship with the pirates surrounding it. In the center of the ship their is a barrel with a quest to kill 15 additional pirates. Make sure you have an item or spell to breath under water, you'll need it.

I found a dull wedge on one of the armadillos right outside west freeport, so i guess they arent only on bloodskulls
