I went to deliver the message to Jereth after killing the first 20 and when his thugs spawned there were 3 down arrow green to me thugs who did not attack me, but when I attacked them the whole zone of assassins came after me. Something is wrong here. I am a level 15 scout and died very quickly to the massive onslaught.

i don't know about anyone else but i found tons of the assasins in amongst the wolves near the freeport station.

I found both Assassins and Wolves up. Killed all the assassins I needed in about 15 minutes today

The wolves are where the assassins used to be, but don't give any quest update. This is going to take forever!

Yup they've been replaced by wolves....joy, I killed 4 instantly, but now they seem to not be respawning....possibly a time thing?

Unless I'm doing something wrong this quest now takes an unfeasable amount of time.
The assassins that used to roam in CL have now been removed an instead they seem to be a rare spawn around the camp of Blackshields. In an hour I've killed 3. Great!!

The Location for Jereth Blackshield has been moved. He is now at -388.83,-58.51,-878.16

Had the same problem with Jereth's thugs disappearing. Deleting the quest and talking to Nethet will re-start the quest. Of course, you'll have to kill the Blackshield assassins again.

Hmm.. a group of us killed him and no dice. This quest - GRRR.. If anyone knows how to advance this quest I'd surely appreciate the info!

Looks like all you have to do is kill Jereth if you missed his pops. He's a 20th level heroic so get some buddies.

i got/completed this quest at 50.. its no bug they just reant aggro........kill em :)

Darnit.. Those pops are grey to me so they didn't attack.. I just kinda wandered off and sure enough, they poofed. Drop me a line and let me know if deleting the quest worked!

I've reported this as a bug since it happened to me too. I'm not confident it will get fixed any time soon. So, try deleting the quest and go back to WFp gates and talk to Nikora again. I hope I can get this quest that way...
I didn't expect the assassins to spawn and attack me and I still had Jereth targeted when I turned on auto-attack.... Needless to say I lasted only a few seconds at level 11.

I have the same problem as Brixts. I killed one but got wasted by the other two. I went back and got my shard, and they were nowhere to be found. I tried hailing Jereth again but it does nothing. I am a levl 13 Sorceror and this would be good to finsh to help me get to 14.

I did this quest recently and received 30s and some copper coin. I think the rating for this quest be upgraded. I was level 17 at the time. Albeit, there is a considerable amount of running around, however, 30s is well worth it.

I had to run away from these thugs that appear because i hadnt expected them to appear so took a big hit but when i came back they had gone and now cant get them to appear again and hailing doesnt help, anyone have any ideas?

Nethet, an information broker, has asked me to help a friend of his who has apparently gotten himself in some trouble with a group named the Blackshield smugglers. He says they can be found north along the Commonlands coast and just past the griffin tower.
I found Nikora and helped him by getting rid of several assassins that had been sent after him by the Blackshield smugglers.
I have spoken with Nethet and he asked me to deliver a note to Jereth Blackshield.
I've delivered the note and avoided death at the hands of some of the Blackshield thugs.
I have spoken with Nethet and was rewarded. I'm glad to put this entire thing behind me.I've helped Nethet and his friend by killing assassins and fighting in a personal duel to the death with several thugs. Nethet paid me well, but it still does not quite make up for the dangerous position he put me in.
Stage 1
I should try and find Nikora near the Blackshield smuggling docks. It sounds as if the ratonga is in some trouble with the group.| Start: | I should find Nikora |

This quest is given by Nethet ( -1272, -88, 61 ) before he will give you info for the The Mysterious Missing Shipment quest.
He asks you to go check on his friend Nikora. Nikora can be found hiding behind a rock to the east of the Wailing Caves in Commonlands ( -384, 0, -864 ). Nikora is being stalked by Blackshield Assassins and asks you to kill 20 of them for him. They are found to the south of him at -472.52, -42.73, -830.47 .
After completing this task you can return to Nethet. Nethet will then ask you to deliver a note to Jereth Blackshield ( -388.83, -58.51, -878.16 ). When you do this, three Blackshield Thugs will spawn and attack you. Kill them and return to Nethet to complete the quest.
