There is a group of 5 NPCs in Hollowfrost Grove with quests to explore inside the Phylactery. See Shadow Odyssey Missions for a complete list.
Various traps in hallways knock the group around, blur vision, etc. Some can be disabled by burning scrolls and destroying lightning rods using the wall-mounted torches found in many rooms. Scouts can disarm the falling ice traps (which stun and do light damage).

The sound of a man laughing in triumph fills this room.
There are 2 mobs at the door to the next room, and on the threshold, at -19,1,-1 , is a glowing sword for the quest Love Caught in Time.
From the small chamber off this one, you can go left or right. Left is The Icebound Sentinels, The Alluring Aerie, and The Frozen Menagerie. Right is Halls of Errant Thought and Arcane Collective. You must go left, first.
When you return here after clearing the zone, you have one fight left... the Shade of Miragul!
12 second AoE joust. He emotes "Time to get those synapses firing!" before he does it. Or... the AE does less damage the closer you are to him, so you can all just hug him real tight and beat him like a red-headed stepchild. He also has a knockback with a snare component. Get back to him before the 12-sec AE goes off or suffer the higher damage.
A wave of dizziness sweeps through you as you are assaulted with an intoxicating lust for power that drives you to the edge of insanity.
When entering this area for the first time you will receive the quest, Disrupt the Wizardry. This is actually for the next room, The Alluring Aerie, and is required so that you can attune your fragment for Repairing the Eternal Prism.
The echoes of a dozen different animals grunting and crying out fills this room.
a leather-wrapped bow, for Love Caught in Time, is just inside, against the wall, to the right.
For Disrupt the Wizardry, click the 4 glowing spheres at the cardinal points and then, once Reverie is dead, click the large ice ball hanging in the center of the room.
Ring event: Kill two groups, then one group to spawn Reverie. Straight tank and spank.
The room smells faintly of chemical reagents and animal musk.
Get a torch from the previous room to burn the two lightning rods in this room before the boss fight. Unfortunately nothing can be done about the fire bolts coming periodically from the middle workbench.
Zaza does slashing damage and power drains. Ankhef does mental damage. Definitely kill Zaza first and as fast as possible. Root or mez/stun Ankhef if possible until Zaza is down. If you kill Zaza and wipe, revive and hurry back to take Ankhef before Zaza respawns.
A wave of dizziness sweeps through you as you are assaulted with an intoxicating lust for power that drives you to the edge of insanity.
There is a Cold Fire Torch on the wall. Use it to burn the lightning rod. None of the mobs in this room are aggressive until pulled so you can do this first.
Clear the room to make the Chaotic Manipulation aggressive. It can heal itself. Also, it will summon a guardian of consciousness one at a time. The guardian does massive AE cold damage, so off-tank and separate or have DPS burn them down quickly.
a frozen thought holds A Frostbitten Key which unlocks A Chest of Tangible Memories, which contains one Void Shard for each party member.
The books, an unfettered arcana, have a large AE. Stay at max range if possible.
One of the side rooms in this section appears to be a bedroom. Laying across the bed you will find a fragile veil for the quest, Love Caught in Time.
Next to the bed is a table. Arcanus drops a silver filigree key that lets you open it to find Miragul's Earliest Journal, an update for Making Sense of Miragul, Part 1.
Find and collect two pieces of a scroll (one in each of the side rooms), then click on the scroll display case to spawn Arcanus. He is a disembodied hand. Fairly tank and spank. AoE or burn down the adds.
Trivia | In The Frozen Menagerie, inside the largest section of ice in the room, is the frozen form of a Void Beast... no doubt a memory/echo of Miragul's time with the Ethernauts. |
