The nasty mole is called "Slaverjaw"
It hit for 60-80 and drained power. Also had a cat or proc of "Erupting Earth" which also crushed for a similar amount.

Like the last poster I wasn't expecting a fight and had to run to the guards.

There is also a level 16, 3^^^ heroic mob that looks like a mole in The Caves as well, as I just found out earlier today. I didn't get it's name, as I was rather shocked (and quickly dead) to find it among the other mobs there as I was solo on a level 10 toon. I will try to get the name and post it here, but someone else may know about it already.
