My sources say this one is still in game. It's the Armor Quest for Shaman, do you have the pre-req's?
There is only one prereq for this quest. You CANNOT start it until you are level 20.

Recently completed this quest for Freeport as a Fury.

Uhm, look carefully what it says under Reward Items, notice anything odd? Yeah, two identical items that are only spelled differently by 1 letter, loose the 'S' on "Dreadsnaught" and you have the correct item.

As I mentioned under Vassi's Orders - Part II there are new rewards for this series of quests. The new reward for freeportians on this one is:

As of LU18. For all of the AQ quests, good and evil. There is a merchant next to the NPC for these quests, if you have done the quest already you can buy the new version of the AQ armor for a couple silver.

Note to bards (both dirges and troubadours): This isn't the guy you talk to for your armor quests. You need to see Dyric in East Freeport (in the arrow shop, he's by the forge).

Steel Stiched Handwraps for Bruisers or the Thick Banded Gloves for other classes. Only hand armor on this quest however

Hey assassins,this is not our guy. The guy we need to talk tois Dyric in East Freeport. You can find Dyric in the bow and arrow shop,he is the blacksmith. Thought this might help .

I'm a little salty over this... I'm a level 22 assassin and I keep hailing Vassi Darkscale to no avail. Is there a prerequesite to this quest, is it broken, or am I going to the wrong NPC for armour? Somebody please help.

The actual reward for this quest is http://www.csun.edu/~kkb76210/EQ2_ThickBandedGloves.jpg this. Thick Banded Gloves. That's the link to the screenshot. Or at least, this is the reward I got for my Fury.

Yes the item shown here is wrong the reward is double studded gloves and is the first part of the Medium armor quests.

Hey, Vassi is for the Light Armor Quest, he gives Steel Stiched for Bruisers and Double studded and another for the wardens and furies. I believe for Wardens and furies its Thick Leather or something like that

the iteam recieved by this quest is wrong, or you get more then one iteam. as a bruiser i got a pair of gloves. not sure exact name, but this guy is the first step in the bruiser armor quests. after this quest he sends you to FG to gather some more iteams

This is the Tier 3 armor quest for evil aligned characters of the following classes:
- Bruiser (Leather)
- Defiler (Chain)
- Fury (Leather)
- Warden (Leather)

Vassi Darkscale can be found in the upper floor of the inn in North Freeport. For this quest he asks you to kill the following mobs in the Commonlands:
Jereth can be found on the road going down to the docks (not the boat docks) west of the Freeport Griffon Station in the Commonlands. He can be easily handled with a group.
After doing this return to Vassi for your reward. This then opens up his second quest.

I need the weapons off fallen guardians near the ruins of Val'marr in the Commonlands. And a large favor... I want a man named Jereth Blackshield dead.
