This quest is given by Hoggle Bogstrutter after you complete the Scattered Notes, A Paradise Dream World and A Tour of the Feerrott quests. You must find and pick up four lost idols in the Temple of Cazic-Thule. These are random spawns in different areas of Cazic Thule. They are:
- Idol of Dread: Up top, on one of the three pyramids 42.88, 39.13, -184.4 or -55.85, 40.78, -107.79 or -42.23, 39.43, -185.31 or 6.43, 39.6, -142.75
- Idol of Fright: In one of the two Glare Lord rooms as you enter the bottom section or with the Thulian Dreadfiends. -27.33, 0, 17.37
- Idol of Terror: Room with lizardman mastery tome 67, 0, -36 or 0.26, 7.0, -28.74 or 66.44 , 0.39 , -7.13
- Idol of Fear: Deepest part below the temple in one of the two named rooms, or in the glare glarelord room right abouve where you fall to find the two named rooms.

Note: The idol of dread is on the big temple (on the landing mid way up) But it is nearly invisable. Just make sure you scroll with your mouse. Good luck all

Not sure how you are supposed to inpsect the temples with that huge dragon sitting there lol
this is dumb, how can make a quest level 46, and put a epic x4 55 mob that basicly "guards" part of the what you need to compleat the quest, it would not be that bad if invis worked but the damn thing sees invis and the agro range just covers the lowest part of the steps leading to the item, I would like to know what the dev guys where smoking when they thought this one up.

I found an Idol of Dread at (6.43, 39.60, -142.75) on the big pyramid.

Is this the big pyramid on the surface? The one in the back of the zone just past the two smaller pyramids? Guess that it would have to be since that is what it says in the quest info here.

When completing collecting the last idol the 4 idols combine to "Idol of Fear" which is lore no-trade and no value. The item won tbe removed after completing the quest. Dont know if it has anymore use.

I just finished this quest today, reward was 6g 9s 11c and the heart reaver sword, and 3% XP at lvl 43

As you walk up the Stairway to the bigger pyramid, there is a smaller walkway with an arch. I found the Idol there. Not on top of the pyramid. I am not saying that it doesnt spawn on top as well, but perhaps the little walkway halfway up the Pyramid is where it has been for you Hier.

Idol of dread is a joke if it spawns on the 2 lesser pyramids up top as the only way up is using the stairs but a 54^^^ x4 dragon has them covered. I have camped the bigger pyramid for hours looking for the idol straight after server reboot but its not there.
lvl 41 ranger invis doesnt work on the 54 and neither does 41 coercer so you're probably have to wait until high 40's and by then the q will be blue and not worth it

As of the Feb 1st 2005 Patch, this quest is still broken. The Idol of Dread, (found in the upper courtyard, usually ontop of the one of the two lesser prymids. But sometimes on the front ledge of the larger one) does not give an update.
