Survive the Night  

Speak to Setri Lur'eth at 1085, 0, -329 Copy in Nektulos Forest to begin this quest. You must first complete A Nightmarish Illness if you have not done so in the past.

Setri Lur'eth, the Ritualistic Shaman at the north-west end of the beach in Nektulos Forest, has asked me to retrieve her granddaughter from within The Cauldron Charnel, except it came across almost like it was a dare.

Before speaking to Vikki we strongly recommend that you set up the flora around her! See step #2 for more information.

Green Plant

Pink Plant

1. Search Charnel Hollow for Setri Lur'eth's grandchild, Vikki. Enter Charnel Hollow at 885, 7, -471 Copy on the beach in Nektulos Forest (the same gate as the Cauldron Hollow and the Hollow Hedge).
2. Don't hail Vikki yet; set up the 6 flora from the zone in a semi-circle around her first. Click on the plants to move them (akin to a house item) and click again to set them down when you get them to a suitable location.
• Green Plants: Found at 914, 8, -505 Copy , 997, 8, -586 Copy and 911, 8, -614 Copy
• Pink Plants: Found at 991, 8, -545 Copy , 998, 8, -580 Copy , 917, 8, -615 Copy and 963, 8, -515 Copy
• The last pink plant location should only appear for Illusionists, Coercers, Dirges, Troubadors, Assassins and Rangers.
3. Most doorsteps have temporary appearance weapons on them. Try out a few! Picking them up will automatically equip them in your weapon appearance slots, causing any appearance weapons you had there to go into your inventory.
• Equipping one of these weapons will give a buff called Necrotic Carnage, which grants a 25% bonus to Potency and +25 to Multi Attack. Picking up a second weapon may drop that bonus; this can be fixed by manually un-equipping and re-equipping one of them.
4. Pick up a Scribbled Zombie Note at 916, 10, -620 Copy and examine it in your inventory for a humorous message. It is also a house item!
5. Nights of the Dead Devotee update: Pick up the broken canopic jar at 972, 8, -507 Copy .
6. Speak to Vikki at 941, 8, -557 Copy and tell her that you are ready to face the dead men. Waves of shambling dead will begin to spawn.
• The plants will help with dealing damage to the zombies but as the waves progress you must be continuously aggressive with your attacks, otherwise Vikki will easily die. If Vikki dies, speak to her again to re-start the waves of zombies from the beginning.
• Continue to defend Vikki until Dolly eventually spawns at the well. Dolly is heroic but with the plants helping it shouldn't be too rough.
• Wave 1: Zone message of They're coming.... At this point it will be 1 zombie at a time from the east.
• Wave 2: Zone message of More zombies are approaching! Zombies will come from several graveyards at the rate of 1-2 from each site.
• Wave 3: Zone message of There are more zombies coming! Zombies will spawn more quickly from most graveyards at the rate of 1-2 from each site.
• Wave 4: Zone message of Another wave of zombies is coming! Zombies will spawn even faster from all graveyards, at the rate of 1-3 from each site.
• Wave 5: Zone message of A disturbing dolly has risen from the well! Like it says, Dolly will now be at the well behind Vikki. Zombies will likely continue to attack during this phase.
7. After taking care of Dolly, speak to Vikki again.
8. Return to Setri Lur'eth in Nektulos Forest to complete the quest.

Setri Lur'eth, the Ritualistic Shaman in Nektulos Forest, sent me into Charnel Hollow asking me to retrieve her granddaughter. Only after surviving waves of undead hordes did I find out that this was just a trick to get me into another nightmare situation!
