Examine a strange shield, which is dropped by an enraged shadowbeast while on the quest Testing Their Icy Grip, to begin this quest.

Speak to Thurr on Snowfang Isle
Speak to Noden Loadcrusher, who is northeast of Thurr, next to the griffon flight master at -1407,-509,-2248 .
Take the griffon to Thurgadin Harbor. Once you land you will get the update.
Speak to Bellik Coldthunder at 1301,-540,406 to complete the quest.

The enraged shadowbeast near the tower dropped a shield. It looks strangely out of place. Perhaps I should ask the gnolls about it.

Stage 1

I should probably ask Thurr about this strange shield. He is on Snowfang Isle.

I asked the Snowfang gnoll, Thurr, about the strange shield I found. He says it is a coldain shield.

Stage 2

I should show this strange shield to a coldain. There are some stationed with a griffin on a high hill in the othmir village, Fina's Retreat.

I showed the strange shield to a coldain named Noden Loadcrusher. He recognized it immediately as the missing Dain's shield.

Stage 3

I must use a griffin to fly to Thurgadin Harbor and speak to someone named Bellik Coldthunder. They must know more about this shield.

I traveled to Thurgadin Harbor and spoke to Bellik Coldthunder about the shield.

The enraged shadowbeast near the tower dropped a shield. It looked strangely out of place, so I asked the gnoll, Thurr, about it. He directed me to a Coldain named Noden Loadcrusher who recognized it as the missing Dain's shield; Thurgadin's lost king. I flew to Thurgadin Harbor where I met Bellik Coldthunder, who seemed to know more about the shield.
