Lieutenant Germain's sources have discovered the leader of the gnoll presence in the Forest Ruins. The gnoll's name is Malox. Germain says he can be lured out by setting fire to the hidden gnoll encampment north of the pond on the west side of the ruins.

Stage 1

Lieutenant Germain has asked one final thing of me within the Forest Ruins: the head of Malox.

Start:	I need to collect the head of Malox.
Complete:	I have the head of Malox.

Start:	I need to return to Lieutenant Germain.
Complete:	I have spoken with Lieutenant Germain.

I have obtained the head of Malox.

I have slain Malox and taken his head. Lieutenant Germain says that we were lucky that we stopped them when we did, but that there may still be much work ahead of us.

This is part of the Forest Ruins progressional series. It is given by Acting Lieutenant Germain 900,0,-576 after you complete the 'Uncover the Caches' quest.

You must head back to the original bush and sprinkle nullification dust on it again 1116,0,-742 . This will once again spawn the camp 1158,-21,-741 . This time though you must right click the tent and set it on fire. This will spawn Reconnoiterer Malox and a Rockpaw Thug. Kill them and return to Germain.

This opens up the 'Reinforcements' quest.
