Chaos treants within the Orcish Wastes have been calling down lightning upon the trees and brush, sparking fires that scorch the steppes. Sergeant Ironcast of the Qeynos Guard has ordered me to kill the rotting deadwoods before an inferno consumes the outpost.

Stage 1

I need to prevent forest fires by killing petrified deadwoods within the Orcish Wastes.

Start:	I need to kill petrified deadwoods.
Complete:	I killed petrified deadwoods.

I prevented forest fires by killing petrified deadwoods.

The incidence of forest blazes has been reduced now that I have killed a number of the treant fiends.

This must have been changed because although there are heroic ^^ groups, there are now also deadwoods that are -- with brittle tenders that are ---. Very easy to solo at 39.

Not my first choice for Q-guard writs. The number of mobs that pop are few compared to what you need for the task. Also, the treants are accompanied by a skellie Bristle Tender which of course do not count for the writ. Many of the pops are heroic and I found myself constantly stuck with no solo mobs left to kill.

This writ took me 3 days to complete solo, 20 minutes with a guildie (the heroics were duoable with my 36 monk and his 42 Wiz).
