Regarding buying the items on broker and not updating, you are right .. but if you give it to another player who then gives it back to you it will update. Wierd but it works.

The quest works fine. However, the dagger cannot be pristine. I do not recall the exact quality, but it is lower than pristine.

This whole Series is bugged now as you can not buy it to update the quest and finish. I have bought 2 to 3(seperate times) items and not one update . Bug reported it and as yet nothing being done to correct the issue. Unsure if making it will update as I am a Scholar not any other crafter. Hope this saves gold for others doing all of them.

You must craft or buy a Forged Feyiron Dagger and bring it to him.

The reward is the recipe for Leatherfoot Knuckles.

According to Deputy Hopple, the judges in this contest are specifically looking for a finely honed edge on the submitted feyiron daggers. If I'm not up to the task I can always buy my way out of this one, but I'm betting the prize will be something useful only to a skilled weaponsmith. Either way, I'm sure to take first prize in this contest.

Stage 1

Obtain a crafted feyiron dagger with an exquisitely honed edge for the Enchanted Lands' museum fundraising contest.

Start:	Craft (or buy) a feyiron dagger.
Complete:	In possession of a feyiron dagger with a marvelously fine edge.

Start:	Turn in my feyiron dagger to Deputy Hopple.
Complete:	Spoke with Deputy Hopple.

After all that, no one else entered the contest.

As predicted, I won first prize in the museum fundraising contest, but not quite in the manner I had foreseen. Apparently frightened off by rumors of my participation, the competition was non-existent. I hope Deputy Hopple makes a lot of coin by selling the daggers I created for their contest, or their museum will never be built.
