1. Charles finally wants you to assemble his prototype viewfinder. You'll need the parts he gives you and 5 thaumic coal to build a "Prototype Viewfinder".
2. Show him your work, and he'll ask you to take it to the Grand Artificer and present it on his behalf. However, on your way there, you'll be ambushed, and you'll wake up in the infirmary.
3. Return to Charles to advise him what happened. He'll be evasive, but you'll get your reward.

Completing this quest line and the signature line will award the achievement "Deepforge Delver".
