Krindal, an ostracized Kromise giant claims that he will forge the key to Drayek's chamber after I collect the five keys from certain giants in Permafrost.
I have the five keys from Permafrost.
I have returned the five keys to Krindal in Everfrost.I have returned the five keys to Krindal in Everfrost and he kept his word. Krindal also gave me a giant sized ring as a token of his friendship.
Stage 1

I camped Skullsplitter for quite a while and found that the posts about him all have some truth but none got it right. He spawns in the SE tower just south of the listed location. There are three spawns here. One is a static spawn of 3 in the SE corner of the Tower on about a 6 minute timer. Another spawns in the middle of the tower and patrols diagonally across the tower and down along the wall and back. The third is a single static spawn in one of three spots - on the north side of the tower, the west side of the tower, or in the northwest corner. He seems to be on a fairly random timer which I didn't get down - very approxiamtely 6-15 minutes. He is the PH for Skullsplitter but not every time. After killing the single a few cycles, Skullsplitter and a cassok spawned and attacked me even though they were grey to my Ranger 64.

Quest reward is now Krindal's Friendship Ring. Treasured, Attuneable, Lore. +6STR +6AGI +6STA +6WIS +6INT +35 Health +35 Power +288 Cold. Slot: Neck Weight 0.5 Level 45. Note that all mobs come with three friends except Gyrok who had four. It took me about 2 hours killing PH's and then running to next spawn spot, but I'm 70 so all was grey.

skullsplitter is very close to the listed location just continue down the path and go up into the corner part right there kill the mobs that pop in there as his PH

Spawned Skullsplitter up on the ramparts where the group of three are at -105, -95. Took a lot of clearing to get him to pop.

Does anyone know where the PH is for Terrok Skullsplitter? The location says -114, +20, -125, but there is nothing there. No PH, nothing. Supposedly its on top of the rampart, just above where Commander Keg spawns, but we can't find him. Thanks.

I've been able to get Commander Keg, Gyrok Deepfreeze, and Kerhn Chillwind by checking frequently and being lucky enough to see them up. However i've never seen the other two up and am not sure if they have placeholders. I've tried killing any mobs around the given locs but no luck. Either they have placeholders and are rare spawn, or they're only occasionally up. Anyone else find this?

Found Keg in the place mentioned by EQ2Questor. Killed the group of three giants in the SE corner of the courtyard and the next spawn has been Keg.

Commander Keg spawns in the SE corner of the courtyard prior to entering the castle in Permafrost. It looks as if he is placeheld, but was up both times I have seen him. Run into courtyard hang a right, near where the ice river falls away is where this mob is at.

The loc of Krindal is Wrong, he spawns at: 499.37 -35.64 -1,595.41 NOT at +491.04, -36.14, +593.8.

This quest is initiated by Krindal on an island in the icegill area at 579, -38, -1632 . It is the access quest for Drayek's Chamber in Permafrost. You must speak Krombral to receive this quest, which can be learned by completing the Words of a Giant quest.
You must slay five rare spawns in Permafrost to obtain their pieces. They are:
- Commander Keg's Key - Commander Keg (southeast corner of courtyard) at -95, 0, -130
- Skullsplitter's Crux - Terook Skullsplitter at -114, 20, -125
- Chillwind's Hinge - Kerhn Chillwind at 0,40, -247
- Frigidbeard's Shard - Ador Frigidbeard at 57, 60, -322 or 19, 60, -269
- Gyrok's Band - Gyrok Deepfreeze at 0, 60, -384
These are all five rare mobs in Permafrost. After killing each return to Krindal to be granted access to Drayek's Chamber.
