If Shing Ho gives you a quest with fishies or some other mobs you do not want to chase for whatever reason, just delete the quest and request a new one from Shing Ho. Personally I never went for the fish, because getting out of the water is to hard for a shadowknight in full armor ;)

This also counts for the Proving grounds quest...

You are crazy, the Large Blanket fish are near the monk islands in the water. They do spawn, and killing the normals will spawn more. I've done them many many times pesronally.

So far as previously posted there are no "large blanketfish" in the water. We swam the whole ocean, nothing. Regular blanketfish not updating the quest. Bugged it and deleted the quest until it's address or someone finds a different solution. Killing the blanketfish did not spawn any different versions of them.

a little follow up on fraction quest
for the 'diplomatic liaisons' quest, you will be asked to talk to Enforcer Drulk in Big Bend (FP for me), return to Shing HO, reward is 6500 fraction.
Now you should have enough fraction for ally with ashen disciples. Talk to Shen rai in ashen camp will open assess quest for cave of knowledge, called 'Kufu's intention'. the instance is on the same door as the hall of discipline instance, but only available when you have enough fraction, it is a 55+ heroic instance (20hrs lockout) with 55-60 ^^^ mob inside, some of the non-named 60^^^ hit really hard, while named ones are more managable.

to finish the assess, find Kufu in a ashen tent in the instance, back to shen rai, reward is 18g+2.5%exp for lvl57+ a choice of 3 items, Shen's Brilliant Ruby Ring is my choice which +12int, also have a +wis symbol and a nice sword

In the cave of knowledge, there are 2 npc at zone in give 1 quest, one of them is to collect different things from bushes in the instance, they do repop , so everyone in the group can harvest them. reward is exp+12g. the other quest is to kill a dissilant, find a box, reward is 12g+1 of the 3 bracelet, (int, wis or melee, lvl56 requirement).

the other named ashen beside Kufu also give a quest to kill a named leopard in the instance, reward is a no-trade fist
