Got a golden scale today off the Keeper. And we were in the normal instance of Poet's Palace, not the very difficult one.

After killing Barakah you DONT need to go back to Djinn Master. Go strait to Siyamak

Just had a Gold scale drop today. Examining it still opens up the Scales of the Sun quest, even if you aren't on the Capturing Day and Night quest.

I've been to Poet's Palace so many times it's getting tired now. But, what I have NEVER, EVER seen drop is ANY dragon scale of any sort from the Keeper.
Do the scales only drop if some one the group has the quest?

only one person needs the scale to spawn the dragon. If someone has the quest that consumed the scale they can spawn the dragon without the scale. Whole raid can get update by killing the dragon.

I had this quest and went to Nhjela the Mad Poet and got the book, without doing the mad poet quest first. She gave options for her quest and for 'djinn master sent me for a book' or such.
If you are going to see her, go to the 3rd floor in the citadel tower above the librarian and get the mute bard's tale - he asks for a scarab which i found in the mad poet's room. Mute bard gives you a furniture book and a 20 slot bag and you will go by the mute bard anyway to get the ink for the mad poets quest.

Got my gold scale update from killing contested barakah in the pillars of flame yesterday

on my server the silver one seems to be the rare one. gold scale dropped about 3 times in 5 turns pp on hard lvl.. shrug :P

here s the deal.
Ive done keeper of silence about 40+ times. at all lvls.
We ve got one, ONE scale, and that was the silver one. we got it on difficult lvl. Anyone know if golden is only droped on normal, difficult or very difficult?

The Pedestal of Sky is located in the same room as the Master's Prism, above the Curator. It looks like a mirror on the wall. You'll never know it was there if you didn't have access (not clickable)

Only one person in the raid needs to be on the subquest for the dragon. I wasn't on either subquest and I got updates for each dragon.

after u kill the dragon version of barakah, u need to go and kill the dragon version of siyamak in maj'dul.(need to have the scale of the moon subclass quest open to make him spawn). after getting siyamak's update it says u need to go to shimmering citadel to talk to the djinn master.
what u actually have to do is go to poets palace again and clear to the end and talk to the djinn master there

I think that someone has not mentioned that in order to get the quest update to receive the book " The Twin Dragons" you HAVE to complete the quest " The Mad Poet " in which you have to get the lapis ink from the Mute Bard and return it to the Mad Poet.

You can kill the dragons back to back, don't have to visit Djinn Master in between. Have to visit him afterwards though.

After receiving the quest from the Djinn Master use evac (or kill yourself if needed), then go back to Nhjela the Mad Poet on the third floor in poets palace. Speak with her and she will give you a book named The Twin Dragons. Read it then the quest asks you to capture Barakah, the gold dragon in Maj'Dul.
To spawn the dragon, you must have a gold dragon scale that drops from the Keeper of Silence in Poets Palace, then hail the new NPC version of the mob. After doing that return to the Djinn Master again, and he will send you to capture the other dragon in the same way (except with a Silver scale).

This quest is given by the Djinn Master in the The Poets Palace after you complete the In the Djinn Master's Service quest.

After doing that return to the Djinn Master again, and he will send you to capture Siyamak in the same way (except with a Silver Dragon Scale). Siyamak is the Silver Dragon of Maj'Dul.
After killing Siyamak you must head back to the Poet's Palace to talk to the Djinn Master.
Completing this quest opens up access to the Poet's Palace: Return, The Djinn Master's Prism and the Pedestal of Sky.

The Djinn Master is planning revenge on Mudeef for the destruction of the djinn artifacts. He's asked me to bring the Twin Dragons to the Shimmering Citadel. Apparently, they were brought over from the Plane of Sky by the djinn and therefore owe the Djinn Master something. Hopefully, the dragons will cooperate with me.
I have Nhjela's book.
I've read Nhjela's book about the Twin Dragons.
I've captured both dragons.
I've turned the Twin Dragons over to the keeping of the Djinn Master.As I should have known, things are not always what they seem around the djinn. The Djinn Master does want to use the Twin Dragons to avenge himself on Mudeef, but plans to first extract their power by killing them. While vengeance is a fine thing, I'm not sure how I feel about killing these captives to use their powers. If there is no other way to gain their power, though, I have asked that I be the one to do the extraction.
