The best place to gather in TS is around the SE Tower griffon station. The best place to gather in Nek is at the base of N'mar's Ascent.

Also, grab "Tiffin for Duggin" from Duggin Brandywine on the TS docks to work on at the same time while you search for the elusive pig and lion meat. Heck, I didn't even find my first onion in Nek until after I completed Duggin's quest. >.<

This may be a bug. I picked up Duggins quest and yet I have harvested 5 onions and 3 beens, it s not updating in the Gathering quest. for now I would suggest not picking up Duggins quest.

Right, if you have something updating Duggin's quest it won't update this quest.

Great suggestions, Cracklepop! I too harvest both those areas since the mobs there, while aggro are easily navigated. And I grab Tiffin every time I'm harvesting as well! :)

Good spot for harvesting beast dens seems to be along the river heading up to tombs of night. I spent forever looking for the little beast dens until I discovered that! Can get the fishing portion done at the same time too!

Qho Augren in The Village of Shin is hoping that resources from different geographic regions will tell him a bit more, so he wants you to bring back resources from both Thundering Steppes and Nektulos Forest.

In both Thundering Steppes and Nektulos Forest, harvest 10 (from each zone, for a total of 20) of:

severed ash
Steppes mountain bean
belladonna root
rough agate
seafury mackerel
sweet onion
gold cluster
pig meat
lion meat

Note: lion meat is common in Steppes and pig meat is common in Nektulos. The hell of it is filling the rarer meat in the opposite zones. They will drop, but it is gonna take you some time.
