These are found in roaming groups of 3 (1-2 archimagi per group) in the entrance hall and first hallways of The Chardok Palace, between 865, -21, 270 and 745, -30, 170 , and have been seen as far as the book rooms.
Archimagi drop the elemental binding of water which is required for the Warden Epic Weapon quest, Broken Barrier: Elemental Bindings.
