Turk Whooyip, an aviak instructor, offered to teach me the basics of volant, the aviak language.
Stage 1
I must learn to recognize the words, phrases and meanings of basic volant in order to learn the aviak language.
Start: | Turk will show me how to listen for words in volant dialects. |
---|
Complete: | I've listened to three different dialects of volant. |
---|
Start: | Turk referred me to another instructor, Polly, who will teach me to differentiate phrases in volant. She is with the other Windgazer refugees. |
---|
Complete: | I've spoken with Polly. |
---|
Start: | Since I'm not likely to run into my parents here in the Barren Sky, I need to get rid of this note Polly's written to them about my bad behavior. I mean, about Jerome's bad behavior. I'll toss this note over the side of the island near the transport platform. |
---|
Complete: | I've disposed of the note. |
---|
Start: | I'm sure Polly will expect me to return with a signed note. I'll just forge one and take it to her. Perhaps Turk would be willing to assist me. |
---|
Complete: | Turk has given me a forged note. |
---|
Start: | Turk recommended I butter Polly up by bringing her some of her favorite fruit from a rare plant known as cactusarii zephryi. |
---|
Complete: | I've located some fruitius cactusarii zephryi for Polly. |
---|
Start: | With my forged note and these cactus fruit in hand, I will return to Polly and be a model student so that "Jerome" can learn to speak volant. |
---|
Complete: | I've appeased Polly. |
---|
I've learned the basics of volant. Now to take my final exam.Stage 2
In order to feel confident with the language of the aviaks, I need to take my final exam with Turk Whooyip.
Start: | The final exam will hopefully cover things I've already learned about volant. |
