Rivra Prayercrystal explained that she and her companions have erected a spirit ward on the hill just south of the Ring War battlefield. When activated, this ward will act as a beacon and attract the spirits doing battle at the site of the Ring War.Rivra gave me a ewer full of freewater to splash on the coldain spirits. In theory, this magical water will free these spirits from the torment of endless, mindless battle and allow them to find rest. Rivra also warned me to be careful of the Kromrif spirits who will also be compelled to approach the ward.
Stage 1
I should activate the spirit ward that Rivra Prayercrystal spoke of. It is a large runed stone placed atop a hill just north of the Ring War battlefield.
Start: | Activate the spirit ward. |
---|
Complete: | I activated the spirit ward. |
---|
I activated the spirit ward, which has compelled various giant and coldain spirits to abandon the battlefield and march up the hill toward the ward.Stage 2
Deal with the coldain and Kromrif spirits that are drawn to the spirit ward.
Start: | Splash freewater on the compelled coldain spirits. |
---|
Complete: | The freewater froze the coldain spirits! |
---|
Start: | Defeat the compelled Kromrif spirits. |
---|
Complete: | I defeated several Kromrif spirits. |
---|
The freewater had an unusual effect: freezing, not freeing, the coldain spirits.Stage 3
I should inform Rivra Prayercrystal that her freewater did not work to free the coldain spirits.
Start: | Return to Rivra Prayercrystal. |
---|
Complete: | I spoke to Rivra Prayercrystal. |
---|
I delivered the unfortunate news to Rivra Prayercrystal. The freewater did not have the expected effect on the coldain spirits. Instead of bringing them a reprieve from endless battle, the frost-based magic simply froze their forms, temporarily. Rivra and her mystics are going to continue their research until they develop a spell that can free their coldain ancestors.
