Should add a blacktimber treant in Nektulos Forest around North-West part of the zone, starting at N'Mar's Ascent and ending at The Obelisk of Lost Souls (shadowed men area)...
There are also a deathbloom treants & a rotheart treants, but I haven't gotten any drops from them, just know that blacktimbers have updates & drops for sure.
They are all solo treants around lvl 27-30.

Lore and Legend quests are started by examining a special book or examining the first body part you find for that race. Either way, you will not get auto updates until you have the quest. The book for this Lore and Legend quest is "Treants". This book can be found is initiated by examining the book "Treants". This book is a timed spawn in some drawers at one of the Nerius Pirate camps in the Nektulos Forest at 556, -0.55, -179 .
Also, it can be obtained by examining a book in a chest in a orcish tent in Greater Faydark at 236, 0, -182 . .
The quest requires you to kill Treants for the auto-updates and body parts (which must be examined). Body parts are also tradeable, so check the broker!

Body Parts
When you have found and/or examined the last part the quest will auto-complete and you will receive:
- Treants - A book you can place in your home.
- Trophy: The Lumberjack - A trophy to hang on the wall of your house
- Your Master Strike, Smite or Rage skill will now affect Treants.
The reward for this quest is a furniture version of the book and a trophy which can be placed inside of your house.

Am currently working on this one right now in BBM and am killing the treants between Gfay and Kaladim. The Shadeshire Watchers and Vanquishers, the "traditional" looking treants, are dropping what they are supposed to but the Shadeshire Defenders are dropping items used in the L&L Elemental. I already have the elemetal one completed but can not use my masters smite on them.

I'd /bug that.
These are not common drops. If you get any of them at lower levels, do hold on to them and at very least sell them. Worth 5 or so gold for the more common ones, bark was going for 35 gold. Crazy

In Faydark I got nearly immediate (after 20 kills) drops that after I inspected them, I started getting the auto-updates fast and furious.
The MOB's are only lvl 9 or 10 so melee kills them in like 2 seconds. In the Western corner near the zone to ButcherBlock Mountain near coords
(665, -151). The MOB was "a Sapling"

The Treant book in Greater Faydark is in an orc tent at 236, -182.

The book "Treants" is now also available in Greater Faydark. In one of the tents on Orc Hill is a rather large chest. Examine the chest to get the book. And there are lots of low-level treants nearby that give updates & quest item drops.

Confirmed drops from Petrified Deadwood in Zek, the Orcish Wastes. These are scattered along the south eastern & eastern areas of the map.

In Nek the deathbloom treants also give the items but for every treant you kill you also should kill a deathbllom bee or the treant won´t respawn. good luck to you all.

I found many L&L items in zek around the mythical forest and a bit west of it. I killed whole day in nek, antonica, rivervale and did not find any item.

Where are the Deathblooms in Nek. There not north of Mar's Accent, only saw 2 and it wasn't a pair like before, and they weren't heroics either.

I think the problem is that not every walking tree is a treant. Phellio is right, the deadwoods to give updates.

Same... Killed quite a few in different zones, not update. Seems much harder than other L&L..

Actually, after killing 1 deadwood, i got an update for the Heart but my quest log did not update, and no other kills would register yea or nay. Quest is bugged, reported, and deleted.

I get that. I have sompleted quite a few of the L&L quests. On all of the other L&L quests, you get updates. I have killed hundreds of treants and haven't gotten a single one. If the system is designed to allow that kind of bad luck, then it is broken.

Guys it aint broken or bugged. its random. pure luck, when the mob spawns it has that particular update assigned to it so it just lucky if you get it. took me about 600 sirens on Lore and legend siren quest before i got shriek

You can also find a Blacktimber Treant at the Hidden Gorge (loc. -1,375.47, 23.96, -1,383.90) in Nek Forest. Creature is grouped with a Blacktimber Bee, both 25 down two.

Are you able to finish the quest from killing the same treant over and over? Iven been killing deadly deathbloom treants and only got the spirit,heart, and vial of sap to get updated....must of killed 30 afterwards and not one update for the the other items
