I was there today and was about ready to leave when I accidentally moused over the bench on the right side if you are facing Temple of Scale from the water. I repeat...NO VISIBLE book, just a bench.

Lore and Legend quests are started by examining a special book or examining the first body part you find for that race. Either way, you will not get auto updates until you have the quest. The book for this Lore and Legend quest is "Drakota". This book can be found can be found by clicking a stone bench at -20, 47, -173 in the Tenebrous Tangle, near the Temple of Scale. You must acquire 3 auto-updating and 5 mob drop parts. These can drop on any Drakota in any zone..
The quest requires you to kill drakotas for the auto-updates and body parts (which must be examined). Body parts are also tradeable, so check the broker!

Body Parts
When you have found and/or examined the last part the quest will auto-complete and you will receive:
- Drakota - A book you can place in your home.
- Trophy: Veeshan's Thorn - A trophy to hang on the wall of your house
- Your Master Strike, Smite or Rage skill will now affect drakotas.
The reward for this quest is a furniture version of the book and a trophy which can be placed inside of your house.

That's what it says, "This item can be found by clicking a stone bench " lol.

I agree with Alorr about a problem with the Loc,atleast the one about the bench .I went there today,to the bench before the waterfall.The quest starter was not either the bench or it is bugged.Did they move the start to another Loc?

Everything I can find anywhere has the same loc. I'm going to see if I have a toon that can get there and hasn't got the quest.

There is a Droag one also which I completed. This one was not replaced by the Droag one. Droag And Drakota are both different species and have different languages. Plus both Drakota and Droag are in the KOS expansion

I got the 3 auto updates from the solo drakes on breeding grouds. Also found a drakota tongue off one.

I completed the quest last week and got all my updates on the Isle of refuge. If you have already completed your prismatic you will need someone to let you in who is at that point. When inside there are two doors that will glow one to the left and one straight ahead click on door straight ahead and it'd Drakota heaven. Took me 10 mins to finish my L & L.

well, I got the auto updates in sanctum, but even after killing drakota for hours, not a single sign of the drops. Infact, Ive never seen one on the broker either. has anyone actually finished this quest, or is it a myth?

If what you say is true, then ogaming should remove the drake mobs from the "monsters involved" section.

Make sure you are killing Drakota and not Drakes. The Drakota deep in the Sanctum count, but the drakes in the breeding grounds do not. Two different types of mobs.

Is this quest currently broken?? We killed Drakota all night up in the Tangle and not one update or corpse drop. All we got were vials of Drakota Blood.

The loc is right. The trigger is ther stone bench on the right side of the entrance to The Temple of Scale.

Loc's are not right. EQ2 map has incorrect loc as well. Searched both thoroughly no sign of quest.
