Lore and Legend: Bixie  

This is not the easiest place to get the book. The waypoint
-490, 1, -29
is the correct for the tower entrance which is in Rivervale off The Enchanted lands. I went there as lvl64 so everything was grey. once u get into the hive which u do by going in at the ground door and clicking on the hive thing on the wall (it appears as a peculiar lump thing) you are zoned into the hive proper.
The quest location is on the far side of the hive via tunnels and is a long march. You can find the quest as a blue dot indicator on the eq2 map. The long march though the tunnels is worth it for the discovery points, I got 2 dings. When u get into the room the staircase (if u could call it that) looks like part of the wall, but is on the left side facing the entrance u just came through. You cant get right up to the bookcase but the distance from it does not stop u from getting the book. best to go with a call back to your city active, because its painful with those tunnels getting out. I had to keep my map up on screen because it all looks the same and is easy to get turned around. good luck

The book in G.Fay is actually *inside* the armory, which is an octagonal building near Crushbone Keep. Get the book by clicking on a small crate on the floor next to a wooden bench.

I can confirm that updates can be recieved by killing Klixie Soldiers, Impellers, and Medics in Greater Faydark starting area. -156.74, -42.38, -564.28 I have gotten the brain auto update and 2 eyes that u examine.

If the entire place is grey to you, what I did to escalate getting the parts is run to the very end where the queen larva is and kill the mobs in there. All of them are bixies. I got tired of killing the little rooms along the way where I'd kill one or two bixies and would have to kill a lot of other non bixies that were tied to them. So run to the very end, evac back if you can, zone out, zone back in..it resets the zone. Fastest way to do it imo.

I worked at completing this L&L for a couple of months and the spirit never did drop during that whole time. Be prepared to spend A LOT of time trying to get the auto-updates; I cleared the hive at least twice and visited it other times. Do not think it is really worth all the time and effort unless you want it really bad.

One trick to being able to click on the shelf is to pan back the camera while facing in the direction of the shelves. Especially helpful for the vertically challenged.

Amendment to previous post. The room in question is the first left past the round room surrounded by a hallway patrolled by 2 ^^ mobs.
