I have chosen to pay my respects to the last of the centaur chiefs, Karath the Forgotten. I must find some way of recognizing the greatness of his efforts to save his people.
The precious ore that I mined now glows with the light of hope.
I've given the offering to the Watcher of the Fields.I have honored Karath the Forgotten, the former chieftain of the Great Herd who is now a spirit known as the Watcher of the Fields. The spirit of the great Chief blessed me and offered me a precious relic.
Stage 1

I started finding the corpse feeders in the area of the bridge at 253.22, -1.69, 348.19. They're crabs.
I'm not sure what the loc is on the corpse feeders, but they are located between Bridge Keep and Dead River Basin among the undead in the valley.
As for the Weald Wolves, I found a pack just north of the Sabretooth Harvesters in Thundermist Valley at 1008, 2, -374. It takes about 5 minutes for the pack to respawn more weald wolves if you use the pack strategies described below. You're looking at about an hour of this for a pretty crappy item, not recommended quest.

I found the Weald wolves in the pass just west of Tower 4.

The easiest way to do the weald wolves is to kill the two weald wolves of the pack and then run away.
After the encounter is broken the full pack will respawn.
Did this today and it took only 15 minutes.

I don't know if they maybe changed this, but I couldn't find weald wolves anywhere near tower 3. I looked for them there for 3 days lol. Finally I went exploring (I knew I'd seen them somewhere) and found 2 packs by tower 5 in the that little pathway. Hope it helps.

The best place to kill the Weald Wolves is in the little forest area just East of Tower 3. A pack of 5 wolves will spawn. 2 are usually weald wolves. Kill just the weald wolves and then run to break the encounter and go back to the forest and repeat until done.

The quest description needs include a step between the Wolves and Gnolls. You have to go to the Vallen of the Ancients to bless the stones. All I did was go around the right side of the valley untill my quest dinged. Then it's off to kill the gnolls.
By the way, the trick with the wolves mentioned below worked like a charm and saved a TON of time.

I just completed this quest yesterday. The step to kill corpse feeders comes before the step to kill undead. You are instructed to wash the stone you just mined with the stomach acid of corpse feeders.

I harvested the items from the Wind Swept Stone. There was nothing in the inventory and no mention of a diamond. The quest auto-updated itself.

Here's a tip for the weald wolf part. They are not that common, and share spawns with bears and badgers. There are also various versions of wolves, and only the 'weald wolf' will get you credit for this quest.
Find a group spawn of wolves. I'm aware of two. A weald wolf will spawn with a weald wolf pup. Also, you will sometimes get a spawn of five wolves, three weald wolves, a pack leader and one other (immature weald wolf I think). In either case, kill only the weald wolves and then run. You will be able to return and the full spawn will be present. You repeat until you have your 20 kills.
Note that this is NOT an exploit. Sony has publicly stated that they are aware of this approach to killing mobs, and that it's a legitimate strategy.

After the undead, you need 20 weald wolves

Get the mineral from wind swept stone, then kill 15 corpse feeder crabs from dead basin and then easy skellies from basin

After you mined the ore from a Wind Swept Stone, you need to kill 15 corpse feeders, followed by 15 undeads (any undead will do). Then you need to slay 20 weald wolves. When you killed those, you need to bless the ore by visiting the Valley of the Ancients. The final step is to slay 20 gnolls (any gnoll will do) and then bring the offering to the Watcher of the Field.
Reward is the necklace "The Forgotten's Honor":
+2 int +3 str +รง health + 7 power +60 vs cold +20 vs heat and +60 vs poison.

Further comments. I have been harvesting in TS for a month or so now. The quest requires the harvesting of a rare mineral from a Wind Swept Stone. I have harvested Palladium and rough Jasper several times now without a quest update. You also do not get a " did not recieve quest item" update when you harvest. I have seen other posts that indicate that the forage is actually a "raw diamond", but have never seen this harvested or actually spoken to anyone that has foraged it.
I have /bugged the quest, and GM's give their usual indiction that the quest seems to be ok. So, I keep harvesting like mad.

This quest is given by the Watcher of the Fields in Thundering Steppes after you complete all of his other quests.
- Mine a rare stone from Wind Swept Stones (soft gem nodes) in the Thundering Steppes.
- Kill 15 Corpse Feeders in the Thundering Steppes.
- Kill 15 undead in the Thundering Steppes (any will do).
- Slay 20 Weald Wolves in the Thundering Steppes.
- Visit the Valley of the Ancients in Thundering Steppes to bless the stones. ( 700, 0, 620 )
- Slay 20 gnolls in the Thundering Steppes (any will do).
- Return to the Watcher of the Fields for your reward.
