The Bridge of Keep updated for me at ( 203.64, -0.28, -321.44 ) in Thundering Steppes.
An Elder Hawk updated for me. It's loc was ( 94.98, -4.10, 1244.18 )
The Mature Hawk in the same spot should update as well.
A Mature Antelope updated for me. It's loc was ( 66.78, -1.08, 1245.00 ).
They appeared after killing the several hawks at the same spot.
A Skeletal Protector updated for me. It's Loc was ( 66.89, -19.77, -233.78 ).
Loc also added at mobs page.

 Demini's Class Ring |
This quest is given by Scholar Demini in North Qeynos after you complete the Never Judge a Book by it's Cover quest. See related quests for more information on the other quests in this chain. It is the final quest from Scholar Demini and takes place in the The Thundering Steppes.
The first thing you must do is head to the Bridge Keep to see if the sage is there. (need name and loc). He will give you a list of monsters to kill in the Steppes, you must collect an item from each of them. They are:
- Alluring or Entrancing Sirens
- Flesh Scavengers or Shore Crabs
- Peurile Hawks
- Plains Lurkers/Serpents/Snakes
- Steppe Beetles
- Undead (confirmed on Skeletal Lieutenants, Skeletal Protectors and Deadly Skeletal Lieutenants)
- Young Antelope
Although the journal gives generic names, not all beetles or hawks will work for example. Use the list above and make it easy on yourself.
After doing this you must head to the docks and search the crate at -561, -15, -484.
Then return to Scholar Demini for your reward.

I got updates from a plains snake just to the west of Thundermist Village, and a mature hawk, in the same area.

I am having the same problem with the snakes...not getting any updates or any of the snakes
Anyone know of a different way?

Per GM Zeoto, January 30, 2007 @ 1:24PM, the snakes part of this quest is bugged. He said it's been forwarded to the developers and to keep an eye on the forums/Patch Notes.

Anything that is lvl 22 or above counts as strong for any of the required creatures.

I just got a quest update for this off a Skeletal Protector.

the loc to Bridge Keep is 200,-200 in TS...Its the big bridge with the gate that opens during the day and shuts at night...just follow the path from the docks straight through the undead area (fairly safe on the wall) then when you get to the bridge you can jump the wall on the far left side into the keep if you have SoW on or just sprint and aim for the low spot on the wall.

Shore crabs work fine for crab update. Dont have to bee flesh scavangers

The crabs in the dead river(I think they are called corpse scavengers or something like that) work also.
For solo undead try the Undead Caretakers on the farmland near Tower 2.

It doesnt matter what kind of mob you kill, the only thing that matters is the lvl of the mob. For instance a lvl 21 juvenile hawk will not work, while a lvl 22 juvenile hawk will. Any mob higher than lvl 21 will work with this quest.
The reason some ppl seem to think only some types work is because e.g. most juvenile hawks are 21 or lower while most Peurile hawks are 22 or higher.

I can confirm that it requires level 22 MOBs.

I am pretty sure that all mobs in TS must be over Level 22 for the quest journal to update.

a deadly skeletal lieutenant works also and it is a solo mob. One is usually under the Bridge Keep

I thought this was supposed to be a solo type quest. It seems not. The skeletal lieutenants I have seen are group based mobs. :(

Shore crabs do work - but small shore crabs do not.
Here's the trick : when you kill a creature that counts and gives a chance of a drop you get a mesasage 'you did not get any quest items' - if you get this then it's the right type of creature - no message : wrong creature. All crabs except small shore crabs give the quest item message - and 'a shore crab' dropped the item.
Hint: May as well double up on exp - trapper Borgus will give you quest for several of these beasts - may as well be working one of his quests as well as you do each creature .

Undead farmers and undead settlers will not progress the quest. Nor will shore crabs.

I have notice with the animal part of quest is that if they are level 22 you will probly get item don't know about undead yet.

I got the torn backpack off of an enticing siren, which can be found just east of the zone in from Antonica, or just north of the Dead River Docks.

I've found no trace of the Sage of Ages at the Bridge Keep. I did however see a number of creatures milling about in the ravine below.
I've found what looks like scholarly objects on these creatures. It's as if the Sage dropped everything in hopes of eluding his predators. From where I found the objects, it looks as if he was heading to the docks in the Steppes.
I've found a receipt chit in a barrel on the docks. It's made out to a "SoA" and signed with a letter "D". That Sage sure is a clever fellow.
I've let Demini know what happened to the Sage of Ages.The Sage of Ages has managed to book passage on a ship and set sail across the ocean. Though I'm glad he made it safely away from the perils he faced, I'm rather disappointed I never got a chance to meet him.
Stage 1
If I'm going to track down the Sage of Ages in time, I should see if he was wise enough to head for the safety of the Bridge Keep in the Thundering Steppes.| Start: | I need to run to the Bridge Keep to see if the Sage of Ages is there. |
