Kizdean used to be in The Commonlands and killing him gave you access to Fallen Gate without the access quest, but this is no longer the case. Access is free, now, and Kizdean is trapped within The Crypt of the Imprisoned.

In EverQuest Kizdean was a commonly-encountered Named mob that was way over the level of the zone, hence the many bad memories EQ1 players have of this mob.
