This guy is annoying as hell but to get past him to the stairs just jump down the steps away from him.. He is rooted so dont worry... But if ur eager to get him away then use distance attacks... Assassin,Ranger,Wizard,Warlocks work the best for that

I can think of a reason to kill him.
once he's got you targeted you will not be able to harvest ? flashies in the zone.

I can confirm that he does not drop anything of value (a vial of insidious blood). He also does not reward AA XP. He is level 40x2 Epic. Took him out without difficulty with the following group:
47 Paladin
47 Templar
41 Swashy
38 Swashy
39 Mystic
37 Assassin
In case anyone has the same thought we had, he does *not* update your Missing Mask quest for fiendish blood. Unfortunately we pre-spawned the Lamia wench and so tried to get the quest update off of Izzoroth.
I see no reason to fight this mob other than the challenge.

This guy isn't ment to be killed...it's just a trap that will kill unprepared people...He is indeed perma rooted so you don't need to kill him at all (actualy I never killed him)...just do this tower last and jump from the stairs insted of runnning down...

Full group (45 average lvl) took him down and he only dropped "a vial of insidious blood".

I will also confirm this guy drops nothing.. Took us (3 peeps) 22 minutes to drop him and no chest...
We had no clue this guy would pop on us. After the fight I looked on the map and sure enough there was a little blue dot in Diedra's room with his info.
It said he was perma rooted so if that is true we really didnt need to waste the time on him but figured maybe atleast get some loot.
He will spawn right at the bottom of the stairs to her room. Diedra was down the stairs that lead to a basement type place below her room.

Soloed this baddie 3x now no loot. 1st 2 times by standing in lower stairwell healing till he was oop. Nuked him with ranged spells he dropped nothing 2%xp at lvl 47. On 3rd attempt his power bar never showed and he continually ranged mainly ire for around 500-600 damage with an occasional harm touch for 1500 to 2000. Moved down the stairs just out of sight to recover then back up range spell attack him till I was oop then repeat about 15 times (thank you manastone). Defintely not worth the time as takes about an hour.:(

This is definitely not worth killing, it is in Deidre's room and spawns as you go down the stairs.
We have killed it twice now, takes about 30 minutes with 4 of us, I used about 300 arrows on it myself. NO LOOT DROP.
It must be for a quest that no one has done as yet, If I find out what it is for I will post again.

My husband and I just duo'd this mob at 42. I am a Templar and He is a Paladin. We were both armed with manastone and stood back and dot'd and Ho'd him to death... it took quite a while but the xp was good. He DID drop something.. not sure what it's worth yet.. but it appeared to be a very interesting quest starting Item. We'll post more on this again soon.

He hit me for 2500 points initially, but it seems he can only do this once or twice.
After that we DoT'ted him to death which took about 30 minutes.
Out tank used a spear and was able to hit him without beeing hit.
You can run past him without killing him, the only reason to kill him is the XP and the bragging rights.

Appearantly he can multiple harm touch..
I was soloing the zone to finish the MAsk quest.. and he hit me 2 times in about 2 seconds and killed me.. now I have to wait ANOTHER 18 hours to get in. I really see no reason for him to even be there..

He can not move and doesn't drop loot. Just run around him, you'll sometimes loose a person around him so healers stay in the pack.

I can now confirm that this guy does not drop any loot =/ which really sucked. he gave about 2% experience has about 113,500 HP,Harm Touched me for 2475 (as his highest, he did do others that were lower)and he casts a spell called Ire which hit me for 1050 as it's highest.

We have always just run by him quickly and never had a problem...last night, however, we were zipping through the Hadden's quest for some, and he Harm Touched me for almost 3k hps :p

this mob is definitly not a bug, i would say that he is just a nice encounter for a group of high level players with maybe some great drop, as really nearly every boss and subboss mob in nektropos has

From Neriak server (it isn't on the list).
This Archfiend spawned on us right as we killed a mob in Deirdre's room.
He instantly killed our only healer and we were stuck.
Obviously a bug, because he has nothing to do with Hadden's Earring and is totally a raid mob (Lvl 45 ^^^ Group x2 mob) that is bugged to appear with a different quest (Hadden's Earring).
They should fix this.

He is at the bottem of the steps to the sister who starts with a D only once all the other sisters are dead. hes easy to get around so dont worry

This powerful demonic entity spawns at the foot of the stairs leading down into one of daughter's of Lord Everling (don't remember which. Fear not for he is rooted in place. Simply go over the side of the stairway railing and continue unscathed. The daughter of this room actually spawns in a lower room found by traveling down another staircase in the room.
