Having received the goggles, here is what you actually get. Invisible glasses (they can't be seen when you are wearing them) that show a few more collectables than if you didn't have them. The only real reward you get for the most expensive collection in EQ2 is a healthy slice of experience.

Yes, you can buy all the collectables necessary, but it isn't worth it.

I sent some feedback in to EQ2 developement suggsting that they make the goggles visible as a very cool pair of sunglasses. That would make them worth it.
