When first encountered by the Borg this species was called Species 8472. It is highly aggressive and xenophobic.

The Undine have developed a Mimetic ability and have infiltrated some of the highest levels of Starfleet. This is the real reason the Klingons broke from the Federation. The Klingons discovered the infiltration and decided they can no longer trust the Federation. The Klingon Empire has sworn to eradicate the Undines.
