I'll admit I was skeptical of how an MMO would work on a phone. Nightmares of aged and horrendous UI designs from failed MMOs circled my dreams the night before I tried out Legion of Heroes, and I wasn't sure what I would face the next morning. The fears were put to rest upon starting this game from Nexon M, and I'll admit there were more surprises than expectations met.
Mobile FPS series Modern Combat will have its latest installment, Modern Combat 5, launch in the eventual future. While an exact release date isn't known, the starting price point will be $6.99. Hello from the sunny sandy beaches of beautiful British Columbia and welcome to a fresh episode of ZAM's bi-weekly column, The Free Agent. Our mission, as always, is to answer the question "Can gaming REALLY be free?" The only difference this time is that I'm still on vacation and haven't been able to fully tackle a new free-to-play game for you.
Be not dismayed my fair readers, the Free Agent wouldn't dare leave you hanging for another two weeks. I've discovered a diabolically brilliant scheme to keep on mission even while on vacation. While my sleek and sexy Asus Republic of Gamers laptop has sadly been sitting idle with my current internet situation, my phone on the other hand has not.
So go fetch yourself a cup of coffee or a delicious energy drink, kick back and relax, and have a read through the first ever mobile edition of the Free Agent.
Fresh from GDC 2013, Russian based developer Wargaming has announced the latest in their expanding list of multi-platform free-to-play titles; World of Tanks Blitz.
The new mobile title will be available on Android and iOS devices, but don't let that fool you into thinking that this is just a dumbed down version of Wargaming's flagship PC title. World of Tanks Blitz promises to deliver "console-quality visuals and realistic physics".
