Little Tarby Lost  

Command of the Krombral language is required to start or complete this quest.

This quest is given by a giant, Obsid Boulderboom, who wanders near 776, -3, 1004 Copy in the Thundering Steppes. He will not offer the quest until you speak the giant language, which you can learn by doing the Words of a Giant quest. This quest is the pre-requisite for the An Axe from the Past heritage quest.

Before Obsid will trust you he needs you to find his pet bear, Tarby Boulderboom who has become lost. Tarby can be found at 508.45, -1.18, 483.55 Copy in the Thundering Steppes. He will not be up if someone else had recently completed or finished this quest it can be a 10-15 minute respawn.

Once you speak to Tarby a short ring event will start. Kill all of the mobs that spawn (there should be 3 waves, possibly 4). Be very fast with targeting and attacking the waves, otherwise Tarby will die and you will have to wait 10-15 minutes for him to respawn. Once all of the waves are dead, speak to Tarby again to "carry" him back to Obsid.

After doing this the quest will close, you will receive experience and a Cracked Stone Hand Axe. Examining the hand axe will initiate the heritage quest, An Axe from The Past, which rewards the Polished Granite Tomahawk.
