Speak to Provocateur Bas Darkfrost at 1191, -457, 644 above the pub of Thurgadin Harbor in the Great Divide to begin this quest. You must be at least level 90 and have +10,000 faction with The City of Thurgadin. Rewards for this quest can vary dependent upon how many mobs you end up killing throughout the quest.

Coldain sappers have allowed the Kromzek to capture a few kegs of coldain spirits. I have agreed to infiltrate Iceshard Keep to poison the Kromzek's ale barrels and move the keg of coldain spirits to a more volatile location. I need to avoid the Kromzek officers until my sabotage is complete. I understand that if I kill an unauthorized Kromzek or am seen at all, my reward may suffer.

As this zone has similar features for all three missions, we strongly suggest you familiarize yourself with the zone layout and distractions before attempting this quest. The walkthrough here will be condensed as the detailed information is available at the provided links.

  1. Step on the portal behind Bas to zone into the solo instance Iceshard Keep: Agent Provocateur. Everything in this zone sees through sneak and invisibility.
  2. Make your way up the ramp, avoiding the wanderer at the top. If you pause a couple of stairs down and scroll all the way out you should be able to watch his movements.
  3. Head to the Brew House via the back hall from the Storeroom. You need to poison 3 kegs in here while avoiding being spotted by the wanderer and the barkeep.
    • Two kegs are near the eastern wall, one of which is close to the barkeep. Walk south on the ledge of the wall behind the weapon rack (be careful not to run into this and don't click the green sparkly under it) and get your updates at -720, 120, 512 and -719, 120, 520 .
    • Go back to the back hallway and this time head all the way west and south along the wall. Looking east you will see the final keg on the ground. You can get that update at -663, 120, 580 . Stay where you are for the next step.
  4. Use the coldain spirits to destroy the armory. This is the same as using the coldain spirits as a distraction.
    • On the other side of the keg you just poisoned are 3 kegs of coldain spirits. The front one will act as a movable house object; take it with you to the back hall. You can click on it from -681, 120, 579 .
    • Go to the Armory with the spirits by heading back the way you originally entered the Brew House.
    • Place the keg by the hot coals ( -466, 118, 298 ) . Get out of the way and wait for it to explode.
  5. Now you must defeat two of the Kromzek officers. One is always Commander Harric in the center of the Grand Hall. The other will be random between Armsman Hodran in the upper level of the Armory, Supply Master Gawlmal in the Storeroom, Quartermaster Bertager in the Barracks and Chaplain Ansmund in the War Room.

The quest will auto-complete when you have finished the above.


  • 1 Primal Velium Shard - This reward is always given regardless of circumstances.
  • 1 Cloudy Velium Jewel - This reward is not given if you are spotted.
  • 50g  - This reward is not given if you kill any giants you are not supposed to.
