This fight is the gateway to Veeshan's Peek, it is arguably the most complicated strategy in the zone. Nexona alone is not very powerful but the myriad of gimmicky things to mitigate in order to execute the strategy make her tough to beat, until you have the strategy down. The fight begins with a good amount of effort taking out some stationary mobs called Specimens (Specs) and heavy emphasis on keeping the tank standing. Ending with a whole lot of precision add management and a steady burn on Nexona making certain that your DPS on Nexona stays between 10 and 20k. Not to mention the shiny harvesting to round out the encounter.
All percentages are roughly correct; they of course vary with every parse.
The fight begins with the main tank group at the location marked with the red triangle near the entrance hallway. DPS is split between Specimens 3 and 5 with the add control group on spec 5. The pull is done with a pet, we use our Templar's hammer which hopefully will soak up Nexona's Harm Touch. Once the hammer is dead and Nexona begins to move around the corner usually the left side facing Nexona heading to the main tank group. Once she is around the corner DPS should begin to burn down the specimens. Once spec 3 and 5 are dead, dps from spec 3 should move to spec 4 and kill it. The add control goup moves to the add management area highlighted in the diagram below. Once spec 4 is dead the remaining DPS should join the add control team. Specimen 1 and 2 are left standing to ensure that the add control team is in place and ready to fight the Glimmers mentioned below. Nexona will consume both specimens during the fight and heal so you just simply DPS through it.
The MT Group holds Nex in place in the hallway. It is recommended that a white list is established for all players that are on Nexona this will allow good control of the DPS being done to her. Remember DPS on Nexona cannot go below 9k or above 22k or one of the previously mentioned effects will trigger and generally cause the raid to wipe.
At about this time the first shiny will spawn which should be called by someone in the MT who has set up a text trigger in ACT for the emote "I feel the power of the spirits growing..good!" Nexona says this when a shiny spawns. This shiny must be harvested immediately. Shiny harvesting requires good teamwork between the add control force and the harvesters. Once the initial harvest occurs and a new "shiny up" has been called the harvester who has it should get to it and only harvest when the Tank for the add control team calls for it. Both parties need to be paying attention. When a "shiny up" is called harvesters should call out if it is NOT them so that the other harvesters know to look. Once the shiny is sighted that harvester should call out that they have it and they are at it or in route to it. If the add control group is ready the tank should call out to harvest it immediately or as soon as the harvester is able to harvest. When the shiny is harvested it will pop an 84 x2 globe called A Glimmer of Scale which should head for Nexona. Every so often the Glimmer will head for a harvester: this is where feign death comes in. This will continue to occur through the whole fight and must be diligently managed.
When Nexona's health reaches 45% she will call forth her minions, there are 5 of these and they are heroic undead drakes. It is recommended to have 2 or more mezzers in place to lock down these adds for the remainder of the fight. When these mobs are up the add control force should NOT be using blue AE spells or CAs and should be targeting through the add control tank. If they break loose they will punt the add control group all over the place disrupting their ability to manage the Glimmers.
For the rest of the fight harvesters will continue to harvest shinies, add control will continue to kill the Glimmers, Mezzers will keep the drakes locked down, and the MT/Nexona group will stay on the dragon. Once Nexona is dead the raid does some minor clean up of adds and then its time for the real shinys.
All healers except the two MT healers will be with the roving add control force. Occasionally one of the roving healers may need to run out to top-off the harvesters. Most of the MT healing is standard healing tactics except for coordinating anti-death spells for sucking up the Harm Touch if altruism is not on the MT.
MT tanks Nexona in the location marked with a red triangle in the diagram below. The nasty AE and breath weapon must be Cured and healed through, hold the mob stay standing etc. It is recommended to try to keep Altruism on the MT at all times if possible. Add control tank will be on the Glimmers which can come from any of the locations marked with purple circles in the diagram below. This tank will act as the MA for the adds and should never be tab targeting as this runs the risk of accidentally targeting one of the drakes when they are locked down.
Split DPS on the specs to start, except for those DPS folks on the white list. Once specs are dead, all DPS that is not part of the designated white list should be following the add control tank around and assisting through them. DPS on Nexona should be a pre-determined list of players and only these folks should be on Nexona. It is recommended that the folks on Nexona be added to an ACT white list so that their DPS can be closely monitored to ensure that it does not drop below 10K and does not exceed 20k (the ceiling for dps is 9k and 22k but best not to push your luck.)
The harvesting team. The shiny spawn points are marked on the diagram below by purple circles. This strategy requires 3 people. The first, preferably a feign death class will be up top and be responsible for monitoring these three shiny spawn spots, this spot is marked by the purple cross at the top of the diagram. The second also a feign death class will be in the middle and be responsible for the shinies that spawn on the far left and right of the chamber. These two spots have the longest run between them, so it is recommended that this person take up position left of center, noted by the purple cross in the diagram below. This is the optimum location for seeing and getting to the two spawn points in under 10 seconds. The third shiny harvester should be one of the DPS folks that is on the white list for DPS on Nexona and is responsible for the two that spawn in the hallway.

Nexona is in my opinion one of the most complicated strategies. I put it on par with the likes of Venril Sathir and Byzola with the shear amount of moving parts and things to account for. Even though this is one of the most complicated strategies we have put together it is definitely my favorite because when you execute this strategy perfectly its like a Swiss watch and for me still one of the most satisfying kills.
Second Opinion: This mob takes real organizational skills but is absolutely not on the same level when compared to Byzola or the shear focus demanded of a novice raider on something like Venril Sathir. Challenging fight, pull until you get each part - then put it all together.
