Sword of Thunder  

It's a chest drop from what I've seen, if they're grey, get in a group and mentor for the drop. I luked out after about 20 minutes of doing this.

I just looted this item. It was a chest drop, from one of the defile blacksmiths in the forge.

I don't think it would also occur as a body drop, but I could be wrong.

This is now LORE. =( I have one in my bank and a Tempest to the left of the Atrium dropped one in a chest tonight... I had to sit there and watch it rot. /cry

Amazingly there were 30 people in the zone and no one came running when I /ooc'd that it was rotting.... The worst part about it was someone in Qeynos_Crafting asked to buy one for 2 plat while I was fighting the Tempest that dropped it. /frustrated

My SK on another server had 2 in his bank the last time I played him 2 months ago.... I guess that means I've lost 2 now because of SOE making it LORE.. grr

i have the sword of thunder, but i can't get the quest. Is there a level limitation or class restriction?

Okay, between these posts and players comments in game, it is about a 50/50 toss up on if this item is a body drop or a chest drop now. We all know it used to be a chest only drop. If anyone else has looted this off a body, not a chest, please post.

Defiled sentry chest drop as of tonight and defiled sentry body drop last night.

I have also found it on the defiled sentry that stands right inside the first room at the bottom of the stairs. Have got it off of him twice now. =)

This item is a chest drop only. So if the mobs are grey you will not get it unless you find someone lvl 19-21 and mentor them.

FYI, this is a chest drop. the MOB must be worth xp and loot in order to get this item.

I've personally only seen it drop twice. Once was off a defiled knight, the other time was off a defiled cavalier. I have heard rumors that this can only be dropped on the first floor. I will say those are false from personal experience. (Too bad I didn't know what it was at the time. I gave up on the lotto so that the 2 tanks in the party could decide on between them.)

Seems to drop from every dead in SH that are green, i got mine from the sentries in the second hall after the entrance.

This is the quest starter for the Sword of Thunder. By all accounts this item is a completely random drop. It drops inside chests off of any non-gray con MOB. For what it's worth I have personally seen these drop off Scorched Skeletons and Defiled Knights also.
