I received a very soft feather. Come to find out, it's from one of these vultaks! Its silky edge and fluffiness give me a great idea -- make a pillow for my home from them!
I've finished my feather-stuffed pillow.After gathering enough vultak feathers, I obtained some Whisperwind mystic wings to use as a pillowcase. I've put them together to create a very soft and comfortable pillow.
Stage 1
Examining this vultak feather has given me a new hobby: gathering more of these whisper-soft feathers so that I can make a pillow.| Start: | I simply must get more of these wonderfully soft feathers from the vultaks. Who knew such unlovely creatures could have feathers so soft? I can get several handfuls of feathers from each of these creatures that I kill. |

This quest is initiated by examining the loose feather you receive as a reward in the quest Water, Water, Everywhere.
You must:
- Inspect the feather to get the quest.
- Kill 9 vultaks.
- Fly to Strifewind Isle and go to the Strifewind Pond to wash the feathers and get the update.
- Fly to Whisperwind Isle and kill Whisperwind Mystics, you need 5-9 of them to advance the quest.
- Inspect the feather to get your reward.

Strifewing prowlers and ransacks worked for me. I was on the Isle of Desolation for these 7 feathers. Hope this helps a bit.

If you destroy the feather, are you out of luck for finishing this quest, or can you buy a replacement somewhere?

It would be nice if I knew where the Vultaks where located in Barren Sky. I have searched all over and only found Blacktalon's....

Had to kill only 7 for step 2, suspect it's a random range also.

Soloed these with my 63 wizard without a lot of problems. Root, ice comet, few other attacks etc and rinse and repeat. Not to hard =)

3 times dead trying to solo mystics at 60 wiz. This needs to be tagged as heroic in the journal.

When you fly from Desolation Isle to Strifewind isle, just drop from the cloud when its exactly above the pond :-)

Killing one Mystic will lower your faction with the Windgazers (Hooluk) by 100. I had to kill exactly five and received an update on every kill.

Step two requires 9 Vultaks. Any will do, and I got an update off every kill.
